How many tips does it come with?

The one I ordered only came with one, but it should last you a long time, It's made out of carbide. I didn't care to much for the template. I purchased one at office depot that was made out of a heavier material.

What size replacement tip does it need? Is it a 3 mm (1/8”)?

I made a couple of spare tips out of 1/8" carbide burrs (The burrs were worn out so I ground them to a point - you need need a green wheel (Silicon Carbide wheel) or a diamond wheel to grind carbide)

Can I use with metal surfaces?

Yes. I etched all of my hand tools with this. The stencil that comes with the set is difficult to use when etching.

Para que me sirve esta herramienta?

Si lo que quieres es solo grabar cristal, metal es bastante bueno, no esperes que escarbe pues pese a su apariencia está herramienta es vibratoria por lo que no escarba así que tenlo en cuenta, sirve bien para el grabado en metal con punta seca o escarbar cristal para hacer decoraciones (que es para lo que la uso) así que la recomiendo al 1000%
