Great resource — engaging and helpful for phonics practice
These flashcards have been a wonderful addition to our learning at home. My daughter already does Read Write Inc at school, so having these cards at home has been a perfect way to support her learning. She was so excited to see them and loves playing with them, which makes phonics practice feel fun rather than a chore. Great resource for first reading!
We use Read Write Inc. at the school I work in and, after seeing the results of pupils there, I knew I wanted to use it with my son. A massive book lover, he's fairly advanced in his reading skills and use of vocabulary. Although I bought the first set, as he already knew all of his letters, I didn't get much use out of them. With this set however, I'm finding it perfect for teaching him his first 2 and 3 letter sounds (just turned 4 last week). The rhyme and picture on the back give him a hook to remember the sound and he's enjoying learning each new one. I don't know if you need all of the other resources in the series but I haven't found a better set to teach sounds for first reading than these flashcards.
