We have 7 in our home to control the various circuits for our wet underfloor heating system. They are easy to install; I just connect the wires as per the initial installation, having taken a photo beforehand for reassurance. Suffice to say they work, particularly after I have calibrated them using a more accurate thermometer - a simple task requiring taking the temperature at the same height as the thermostat, then adjusting the dial on the bezel until the temperature is accurately matched. The main failing with this item is the quality of the plastic, with me having to replace all of the dials over the 16 years we have lived at our home. The plastic seems to decay and become brittle. I had to purchase a new unit simply because the plastic pillar supporting the fixing screws fractured and the whole of the thermostat mechanism broke away, leaving the heating running continuously. Suffice to say, allowing for their faults, these units are really good and work quietly in the background without other problems. Just wished they made them out of more durable plastic. Does it help to save energy.** A: It controls the boiler on or off according to the room temperature so i would think it would not be suitable for three rooms . If you want to control these separately I think you would probably need to fit thermostatic valves on individual radiators **Q: how to wire it** A: I was lucky that it was a straight swap so wiring was the same. It depends on whether you only have a room stat or also have a timer connected to gas heating In which case you will have extra wires. I had the extra blue and yellow wires to link with timer stat. If in doubt I would always consult an electrian. **Q: My current thermostat has i believe 3 or 4 wires. We have lived here for 8 years, but the house was built in the early 60s. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ accuracy at last *by J***E on 20 May 2014* I was fed up with my old Honeywell 6360. The differential was 3 degrees and it never seemed to switch on without some prompting. I decided to buy a Heatmiser, as it got good reviews, but, even when set with a 1 degree differential, it rarely switched on by itself. In desperation I decided to go for a new 6360, assuming that the technology must be different after 10 years or so, and I'm so happy that I did. It is so much better than the old one and is streets ahead of Heatmiser. The only issue has been pointed out by others. The control needs to be set at 17 degrees to activate at 21 degrees. I think Honeywell need to get their act together.
