## Questions & Answers

**Q: I want to buy cctv and it says hdd 1tb. does it mean its ready to record footage? sorry if it sounds dumb question. i am new to all this.**
A: This is just a HDD and not any sort of recording DVR. you will need some sort of recording device to put this drive into. Sounds like your looking at something already fitted with a HDD do you have a link to what your looking at?

**Q: Would this hard drive fit into a Qvis system?**
A: Sorry I can’t answer your question. The guy who fitted my cctv system told me what parts to order. My system is Hikvision, but this part is universal , so may be.

**Q: "I have brought a H.265+ digital video recorder can this be used in it**
A: Yes, this can be used. But make sure it is a purple hard drive, if you don't the hard drive will pack up in so many weeks.
This happened to me, which I made the mistake and then had to buy a new one. Which why I bought a Western Digital 1 TB purple hard drive.

**Q: So this is better than a desktop hdd for surveillance, but what are the cons if I were to use it for my desktop pc?**
A: No cons apart from the price, simply because this drive is designed to be used 24/7.George
