Performance before looks - THESE STAY ON!
Bought a pack of these size 3 for my Staffordshire Bull Terrier. He has cut his paws over the years but this time he required stitches that had to be kept dry and clean. All the boots I've tried previously fall off within seconds the majority of the time or slip down his leg and become so uncomfortable that he bites them off so I thought I'd give Pawz a try after reading the reviews.First impressions were that the opening for his paw was too small and having to stretch it open and put his paw in at the same time was a pain in the backside considering he's a fidget and is not keep in having it out on anyway. However, once he's used to the idea and you do get it on, he doesn't bother about it.Tonight I took him for his normal walk, off the lead and he was his normal self.He was walking on tarmac, grass and through woodland and when returning home I found that not only did the protective shoe stay on, his paw was dry and the shoe was in perfect condition and ready to use again.Hope to never need to purchase again however, these were a fantastic buy and should I ever need to protect his paws again I have another 11 to use before reordering.Would highly recommend.

Brilliant to protect a sore paw!
These are fantastic. Quite fiddly but absolutely worth it (they’re like a very thick balloon). We tried the other strap on boots you can buy (which don’t work), but these are amazing. Our pup got a bad surface wound on his paw after walking on glass on a path (grrrrr) and we needed to protect it; these are the only things that work! You can use them on their own or over a cohesive bandage. We have a large 6 month old English Springer Spaniel who’s about the size of a small English Springer Spaniel, and the Medium are a great fit. We bought an antiseptic spray (Veterycin) which I also highly recommend (tip: spray it directly into boot then slip on over paw). And to those who’ve complained that they don’t last...well, battle with useless boots instead. These are only about £1 each and they tend to last several walks; sometimes they break after one, but for the most part come back fully intact and really protect the foot so your dog can run around as normal and their foot will stay clean and dry. Brilliant invention!

doggy paw protectors
This is a great idea especially if your dog has a bandaged paw, it kept the bandaged dry, stayed on fairly well, even when the bandage was removed the paw still needed to be covered, this we found was the ideal thing, you can use the same one quite a few times, also when its raining it keeps all the paws nice and dry, bit awkward to put on at first but you soon get the hang of it, only downside is the colour runs onto the fur, ( our doggy had lovely blue paws) the colour soon wears off, we tried other shoes which did not last and were big and bulky,

Hugely helpful
I've been buying Pawz for some time. They are intended to protect bandages from getting wet or dirty, and are not specifically meant to be used as exercise boots, so if your dog is very active (particularly on pavement or stony ground), don't expect them to last long. Having said that, my old GSD (15 years) tends to scuff her back feet and these little rubber socks are great at protecting her pads - one pair lasts many weeks. I thoroughly recommend them for dogs whose feet are sensitive to grass, or who have cracked pads, and to protect dogs' feet from road salt in winter; if you want proper 'hiking boots', you'll need to spend a lot more on sturdy footwear! (Please note that because the neck of the bootie is very close-fitting, my vet recommends that they should not be worn for long periods - they should be removed as soon as the dog comes back from a walk.) Make sure you measure your dog's paws properly so that you order the right size.

CANNOT BE RETURNED SO BE SURE!
I have been using the red size Pawz for months and months and they are brilliant. I thought I would try the blue as the measurements looked appropriate and not much bigger. They were massive but they will not accept a return. This is not clear on their page so be careful

Stay on well
I bought these for my greyhound/whippet cross who gets' very sore paws when running on the beach. They look similar to balloons and you stretch the neck to put on the paw.My dog accepted them and could run without fussing about them. They stayed on really well with vigorous running. They came off in the sea as there was a small tear in one. I'd recommend them for when your dog is healing or on lead or not hard running. I thought they were a good product but not hard wearing enough for my dogs needs.

Pawz Disposable Dog Boots
I bought these from USA when first introduced new a few years ago. Folks wanting an extensive dog boot that can be used again and again, as these are not. They can be used depending where dogs walked many times as yet I have not had a torn boot when used for a dog with a sore paw that needed protection from elements and the dog licking it's paw making it worse, although I'm sure they should not be left on endlessly, as the elastic band can be rather tight which secures that they don't come off as with risk of losing other tried dog boots. I mostly have used them singular or on more than one sore paw that obviously needed protection to pads etc. I have never used them on a regular never ending daily basis and I don't believe dogs need endless paw protection unless advised by a vet.I have now the three sizes upto medium for a Cavalier King Charles spaniels. In three years my dog has outgrown some of their boots! I recently bought the medium size from Amazon as the earlier size bought for dogs front hairy paws had needed next size upwards. Back paws again are different sized so a dog might need two pack's of disposable 12 boots. I have a Cavalier bitch and again she needs different sizes. The Pawz website has a print off colour coded sheet that is excellent for ensuring correct measurement. Print a few for future resizing. It seems dogs paws are like kiddies feet. I found they're handy for wintertime incase encountering road salt crystals occasional getting in between their toes that can cause some red sores between the pads. Keeping paw hair between pads trimmed help with trimmer but winter conditions can be harsh with ice and salt etc. Mushers is another new product for dog paw protection. All are obtainable on Amazon with in my experience quick dispatch. Spaniel paws have hairy slippers so don't need.....

Amazing invention, I wish I'd thought of it. Highly recommend
These boots are a Godsend for my dog. She broke a nail and has been getting mud in the nooks and crannies around the exposed quick when she goes outside. Walks have been out of the question, what with the rain and mud everywhere. These balloon boots arrived today and we have had two excellent walks, she doesn't even notice it on her foot after the first couple of steps. I put a baby sock on first with the bootie over the top to prevent it wearing through quickly from her nails. The boot is secure and doesn't sag down or come off at all. It works a treat - the first truly waterproof paw protector I have bought.ps. I read somewhere that the blue ones seemed to last longer than the black ones so I went straight for blue.

Best product we'd tried to protect against road salt and ice
Bit difficult to get on at first but excellent once you get the hand of it. No more problems with road salt or icy paws. Means we can't use footpaths we've avoided while out walking in the past. Added to that; they stay on and our dog doesn't mind having them on.
