I suppose it's a sign of middle age that I get excited about upgrading my existing sets of pliers every now and then. So far I've replaed an old pair of slip pliers with the small Knipex Cobras, supplemented my full size [and bulky] bolt cutters with the mini Knipex ones and have now added these Knipex end cutters to replace a cheapo pair I got from Lidl which broke on their first outing. What else can I say? If you're looking at Knipex, you already know they are the Rolls Royce of pliers and usually come at Rolls Royce prices. These end cutters are actually pretty reasonably priced for Knipex. Some of the other pliers they make go for such ridiculous amounts of money that I can do no more than window shop. If these last as well as my other Knipex have [so far!] it'll be money well spent. When it comes to hand tools it's often a case of "buy cheap, buy twice"

It seems original, and feels Knipex, but the ‘original packaging’ is a plastic bag on the head and wrapped in a unmarked sheet of cardboard. Maybe Knipex is packed by Cosa Nostra? Buy it, just know what to expect!

Very good

These are very good nippers. I needed a pair of nippers to trim the ends of frets on a guitar. With a small amount of grinding of these on the top face, I have a perfect set of fret end nippers, at half the price of others. These are hard enough to cut nickel steel frets, and Jescar Gold Evo frets. Not sure whether they'd stand up to stainless steel though.
