Manga Entertainment Fairy Tail Collection 1

I absolutely love Fairy Tail. I find the characters really interesting and, for the most part, likeable. The writing and plot is good, and I really enjoy the lengthy arcs that they do. The characters and writing are good enough to pull you in, and prompt emotional reactions. The packaging is sufficient and the artwork is nice. WARNING: COLLECTION 5 ONWARDS IS NO LONGER PRODUCED IN THE UK. I only recently discovered anime, and as I was due to have surgery, I bought a few DVD box sets to explore whilst I was recovering. I bought Collections 1-4 of Fairy Tail and noticed that Collection 5, according to Wikipedia, was due out in November in the UK. It never came out. Two weeks after the supposed release date and Manga UK were still ignoring all of my Facebook and Twitter messages. They also ignored e-mails to [email protected]. They still haven't replied to this day actually. Apparently, according to many trustworthy sources, Manga UK lost the distribution rights for Fairy Tail in the UK. You will now need a multi region DVD or Blu Ray player and will have to buy from abroad to get Collection 5 onwards (5 having only come out in November 2015). The US version might be cheapest, but it is a DVD/Blu-ray combo and so costs about £10 more than the UK one did. The packaging also includes the addition of a thick blue Blu-ray/DVD combo pack label across the top, which might upset people with OCD who have the first 4 collections with the different, UK packaging. I did a lot of research into it and found one really, really, really, obscure announcement on an anime/manga website which officially announced Manga UK ceasing production after collection 4. It wasn't easy to find though and they still released collection 4 long after this announcement. For those like me, new to anime, buying these box sets after the one single announcement was made about the discontinuation of region 2 DVDs, then it's a little annoying. Some US based vendors are listing the US region 1 box sets on the UK Amazon (thank you!).

Item received as described, and in very good time. Lucy Heartfilia is a 17-year-old celestial wizard who runs away from home to join Fairy Tail, a rambunctious wizards' guild whose members are famous for their overly destructive antics. Along the way, she meets Natsu Dragneel, a boy who is traveling the land of Fiore together with his partner Happy, a blue flying cat, in search of his foster parent, a dragon named Igneel who had disappeared seven years earlier. Lucy is soon abducted by a renegade wizard posing as the famous Salamander of Fairy Tail. Natsu rescues Lucy, revealing himself to be the real Salamander and a Dragon Slayer, a wizard with the abilities of a dragon. After defeating the imposter, Natsu invites Lucy to join Fairy Tail. Fairy Tail is an excellent series, and a valued addition to anyone's library.

Fairytail is my favourite Anime series. I the first series off a friend originally and loved it so much I bough it for myself. If you love magic (all kinds and kinds you never even imagine could exist), a good plot, fun, lovable characters and the idea of a world full of magic Fairytail is for you. For those of you that are reading this, and will fall in love after watching these series be warned the collections stop after collection 4 so you have to start buying 'parts'. After collection 4, when you get that far, start buying Part 9+ and it will follow the series perfectly. ALSO! There is a film, which is like a super long awesome episode! For people planning to buy for children it doesn't have any swearing (that I can remember) like some other anime's do. ENJOY!

Never heard of Fairy Tail until I watched the 'FairyTail - Phoenix Princess' movie recently and was quite entertained. Decided to get some Fairy Tail series boxes for the summer holidays. Its not Akira or Avatar, but the characters are endearingly 'over the top', theres plenty of action and laughs - and even a few serious moments. Very good, The cartoon style is interesting with vivid colours and the core characters generally having fairly bland 'big' faces, but some incidental characters have quite detailed faces. The item arrived packed OK, on time and undamaged. The set consists of 4 DVDs is an oversized (probably double width) DVD box - four disk spindles, two on the inside of each cover and the four disks mounted in overlapping pairs. No extra content as far as I can see, just the episodes. Be aware that Fairy Tale is a long running series spanning seven (maybe more?) seasons. The first four box sets (the ones that I bought) seem to be fairly priced and readily available. The subsequent ones seem to be expensive/rare Bluray or NTSC DVD only - hopefully they'll appear on UK DVD sooner rather than later, but the initial sets will keep us going for some time.

This set of four DVD’s came factory sealed. Fantastic artwork and the DVD’s themselves also have gorgeous shiny artwork. I do love a decorated DVD! 24 episodes in total spread over the 4 DVD’s for less than £10. An absolute bargain. I also have the next two box sets to watch 😍

Let me put it bluntly. The attitude and ambiance of Fairy Tail, as well as their awesome care and cameraderie got to me in a way I never thought possible. That was from reading the manga. When a friend passed away, it was a no brained to get the logo tattooed onto my arm. Seeing my favourite characters on screen was wonderful, and as you watch more and more and learn about them more and more, their sadness, happiness and laughter become to mean more for you, and thus take form. OK, sounds creepy I know. But give it a shot. Natsu and his friends will stay with me forever, like some of my favourite characters from my favourite novels.

Fairy Tail is an incredible series. It’s got everything: laugh-out-loud moments, emotional punches, heartfelt comic relief, explosive battles, cool magic, tons of character and world-building, and powerful waves of nostalgia that hit you when you least expect it—all powered by the magic of friendship. I originally watched the series subbed as it aired, and now I’m rewatching it in English dub. I love both versions and each is a different experience. One of the best parts about owning Fairy Tail on Blu-ray and DVD is the commentary in the extras. They’re absolute gems that truly enhance the viewing experience. You get a peek behind the curtain and learn about the producers, directors, writers, and voice actors—their friendships, their journeys in the industry, and their insights on the episodes and characters they bring to life. The commentary for Episode 15 is especially moving, which focuses on Gray’s character development, was a standout. It made me laugh, and then I found myself tearing up shortly afterward. That’s the magic of Anime, and Fairy Tail. Plus a jam session mid commentary, PEAK entertainment. I’ve been a fan since high school, and falling in love with the show all over again through the English dub has been a genuinely wonderful experience. Huge thanks to everyone involved in making this series so special. I absolutely recommend Fairy Tail to any anime fan. If you’re thinking about collecting the series, I highly suggest grabbing Collections 1–10 while you can. And don’t forget to pick up the individual parts that cover episodes 240–328 to complete your collection.

Bin von der Box sehr begeistert. Man bekommt 4 DVDs mit jeweils 6 Episoden. Alles zusammen hat eine Laufzeit von 562 Minuten und noch 10 Minuten Bonusmaterial. Die DVDs sind auf den zwei Seiten der Box übereinander angebracht, sodass man die Obere erst rausnehmen muss, wenn man an die Untere will. Aber Allgemein finde ich das alles in Ordnung. Hab schon schlimmere Aufbewahrungen gesehen ;) Die Box hat noch ein Wendecover, auf dessen Rückseite das gleiche Frontcover ist, und die andere Hälfte ist eine Auflistung aller 24 Folgen mit Titel. Die Synchro finde ich sehr gelungen. Es ist die Englische Tonspur und die Japanische mit englischen Untertiteln enthalten, zwischen denen man wählen kann. Zum Inhalt des Animes: In Fiore gibt es mehrere Magiergilden, denen sich die Magier anschließen können. Die bekannteste unter ihnen ist Fairy Tail. Das Mädchen Lucy ist auf der Suche nach eben jener Gilde, um sich dieser anzuschließen. Sie selbst beherrscht die Stellargeistmagie und kann somit mit ihren verschieden Schlüsseln verschiedene Stellargeister herbeirufen, die unterschiedliche Fähigkeiten haben. Auf ihrer Suche trifft die Natsu, der sich selbst als ein Magier entpuppt, der die Drachentötermagie beherrscht. Er war selbst bei einem Drachen in der Lehre, den er jetzt sucht, da dieser verschwunden ist. Als er Lucy vor einem anderen Magier rettet, stellt sich heraus, dass Natsu Mitglied bei Fairy Tail ist, und Lucy kann ihrer Lieblingsgilde endlich beitreten.
