Yes it can withstand drowning. Upon resurfacing it lies still for a while building a sense of peril and then dramatically gasps and coughs up water before continuing on its adventures in chronology. Way to go!

How long dose the battery on the f91 last for?

Mine is dimming now! I've had it more than twenty years. As people are saying the strap is the weak point, only lasts about two years, get a leather one when it breaks.
