I don’t ever leave reviews for products but this genuinely worked for me. I have been dealing with low moods and poor mental health for a while and when I took the pill for the first time it felt like someone switching the lights on in my brain. I’ve always been a bit more sensitive to medications so I’m wary it may be placebo. But since finishing my second bottle, my overall mental health and anxiety has improved. It hasn’t fixed it all but has definitely helped and made a difference. I stopped for a bit because I didn’t want to be reliant but as I felt my low moods come back I restocked and am feeling better already since taking them again. Worth the try to see if it works for you, I hope it does!!

They really help me to sleep

Hydroxytryptophan is serotonin. If like me you have been clinically depressed on and off for seven years and on SSRIs from the docs (Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) i.e. citalopram; escitalopram, etc - then do what I did sooner than I did and get off them. It took me a whole year of cutting down bit by bit - that's how addictive they are. I tried cold turkey and ended up worse off than when i started. Then get these. No side effects. No downside (except the cost). They work. You sleep better, feel better and can think better. Google serotonin to find out what happens when your brain doesn't produce enough. Not fun. In fact debilitating to the extreme. How do I know they work and it's not just a placebo? because i stopped taking them, thinking they were just another health shop rip-off (50% more expensive than here for exactly same product). My wife bought me some more - at least I thought she did, she just got vitamins and put them in the old bottle. After a week i felt awful. Could not understand it. After a month I was as bad as I used to be. So back on the genuine item, unknown to me three weeks later. After a week I felt better. I did not know what my amateur scientist wife had done but was very grateful she had as she effectively cancelled any placebo effect. For me they work. Can't guarantee they will for you of course as your illness may be due to causes other than lack of serotonin. But the simple fact is, they are safe and have none of the horrific sideeffects of the drugs. What were they? Three stone on in weight in two years. It took me six months to get that off after i stopped the drugs. Depression. What's the point of antidepressants that depress you? Dizzy. Lack of concentration. Didn't care if i lived or died. Listlessness. Horrific nightmares. Need I go on? I would be interested to hear what other users of this think.

I'm aware that Solgar are one of the longest established and respected suppliers in this area and have confidence in them and their products. With particular regard to the 5-HTP Complex it's a little early to comment.

Sleep like a baby

After taking this, the next day I was sick and had a bad headache. I contacted the company but got no response. Solgar is a massive worldwide company and I don’t think that they care about how their products affect people.

I started taking 5-HTP during a really difficult time and it definitely helped me. After a couple weeks or so I started noticing that my mood has improved. Overall, I was feeling much happier. This particular product also includes valerian root. I suspect this is what instantly made me sleep easier and made my dreams super vivid! Although this product isn’t the cheapest, I would definitely say it is worth every penny.

Lo tomo para tener mejor calidad de sueño y sentir más optimismo, considero que es bueno.

Suggerito dal mio terapeuta per aiutare il sonno. Non aspettatevi effetti da sonnifero, ma aiuta ad avere un sonno meno leggero e ad entrare in fase di relax con più facilità.

Un buen producto para mí, me calma bastante el dolor y me regular el sueño. Tengo fibromialgia y fatiga crònica, y este producto me va súper bien. Lo malo es el precio, que es bastante elevado

Ayuda a relajar y descansar mejor pero ojo que no a todas las personas afecta por igual.
