The bristles are quite dense so you should start with a small amount of product and build up if necessary. I use the largest brush to set my foundation with translucent powder. I'm no expert though, so you should check the Pixiwoo website because it provides advice and tutorials on how to use the brushes. Applying my foundation is so much easier with this brush, I've tried applying with sponges, my fingers and other cheaper brushes in the past but this is by far the best foundation brush for me, It's really soft and good coverage - you only need a small blob of foundation with this and it leaves an amazing flawless finish. I also use the Real Techniques Powder Brush after to set my face with bit of powder foundation. All my old sponges and cheap brushes are now in the bin, these brushes are brilliant and eventually I will replace all my other make up brushes with Real Techniques ones!
