Review: Arduino Uno: The best starter board (ever!!) - I’ve been using the Arduino Uno for a while, and I think it’s fair to review it now. Here we go: Why I Love It: 1) Super Easy to Get Started – I was up and running in no time, even as a beginner. The Arduino IDE is simple, and there are endless (literally!) tutorials to follow online. 2) Huge Community Support – Anytime I hit a roadblock, I found a solution online. The community is massive, and that makes troubleshooting way easier. 3) Endless Possibilities – I’ve built everything from simple LED animations to a real-time dashboard for sensor readings. The fact that you can combine hardware and software so effortlessly is what makes this so exciting. A Few Downsides: 1) No Built-in WiFi or Bluetooth – I had to get extra modules for that, but honestly, at this price, I can't complain. 2) Limited Memory – It’s great for small to mid-sized projects, but if you're doing something complex with a ton of data, you might need a bigger board like the Arduino Mega. Review: The genuine article, and it Just Works - wonderfully! - If you are reading this review, chances are you might know what an 'Arduino' board is intended to do. But just in case you do not - it's a tiny 'embedded' computer. The sort of thing you might find in a prize-winning maze running robot, or a walking robot, or a fabricator machine, or a smart GPS, or (in my case) a musical instrument. It's called 'embedded' because the computer is part of the machine, rather than sitting on a desk top (or lap top). Often there is no display other than a few blinking lights - sometimes a small LCD, or more rarely a full-on computer monitor. That's because the pins on the Arduino's processor are mostly I/O lines (Input/Output) and they are typically used to scan push buttons or sensors, or something on a daughter-board (called an Arduino 'shield') that has something else on it. My favourite shield has a Ronin 802 musical instrument synthesiser on it. Then the outputs are used to flash an LED, or play music, or pretty much anything that electronics can do. The important thing to remember with the Arduino is that it is easy to use. I just hooked up the USB lead, downloaded & installed the free software (which comes with demo examples) configured it to talk to an Arduino Uno (this model) and loaded the first 'sketch' (Arduino name for a program) from the examples, starting with the one called 'blink' (pretty easy to read and understand), and clicked on the upload icon. Bingo! The LED on the Arduino was blinking, once every second. Blinking is not a really big deal. But it's great for helping any newcomer to Arduino code understand what it does, and how. Rather than read a gazillion books, I was just tweaking the example code (blinking slower, eg) at first. It's pretty easy to pick up - I only started on it in January this year, and this is our third Arduino..... Yes, it's habit-forming. But if you like puzzles, puzzling out code design and then making something all your own is a truly wonderful feeling. And there are now thousands of 'sketches' free to download to make it do all sorts of things from music synthesis to an electric spider.... Have a look on You-Tube! It's an Arduino, it's wonderful, and at under 20 quid I recommend it to anyone who's curious, or who has a curious child around.

A: Hi Sud,Glad to be of help. The Arduino UNO R3 I ordered back in January of this year does have "made in italy" on it. It also came with what I believe was the correct packaging and I believe it to be genuine. However, I went back to check my review and see that the UNO offered now is £11-55 against the £21-01 I paid and I see that the supplier is different. Now a bargain is one thing but I think that around £20 or so is the going rate for a genuine UNO and I suspect that for £11-55 you may get a clone. I notice that the page does not claim to offer a genuine UNO. Searching amazon for "UNO R3" I found a model claiming to be genuine for £21-89 and I think this may be what you are looking for. I would add that I have a genuine UNO R3 so that I can test stuff that I can put on my website using this as the "reference" arduino design, but I do also use cheaper clones but only after using the genuine model as a prototyping board. It may be a bit naughty of amazon to change the supplier like this and leave the reviews in place. Hope this helps, please ask any other questions you may have.Regards,EddieB.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice Little Multitasking Board

I love this little machine. You can use it for a range of different tasks, from simple light blinks to complex timed sequences. While I haven't had the equipment to make elaborate projects with it so far, many people have used it to improve their everyday life, such as using it as an automatic plant waterer or pairing it with an RC522 Module to use it as an RFID door lock. The arduino itself is very easy to setup and use, as there are many useful videos online which give you tutorials on how to get started, and the actual Arduino IDE is incredibly beginner-friendly and even runs on Operating Systems such as Ubuntu and Kali (which can't be said for other IDEs...)! It is a bit annoying that the REV3 uses a slightly outdated USB for its power and data, but it's not too much of a bother. The pins on the Arduino are very easy to use and the actual Arduino is presented beautifully. As I said, I haven't gotten to the point of doing very difficult tasks with it, but it has worked nearly flawlessly for the stuff that I have done with it. It has a decent chunk of memory for tasks and runs pretty damn fast. Overall, this is a great computer-ette which boasts a very beginner-friendly community and software, and is very nice to use.
