After reading so many good reviews of this product I decided to invest in some. I suffer from dry skin on my cheeks. I have been using this for two weeks, I find using every evening before bed works for me, the lavender scent makes me feel relaxed & when I wake in the morning & wash my face, my skin feels soft & smooth. My face hasn't looked dry at all using this!! I have tried in the morning & it gives your face a glowy,shiny look even with your make up over the top of it. Let it soak in for at least 10-15 mins before applying foundation. Just make sure you keep you hair tied back as it can make your hair look greasy. Maybe would be useful with a small spatula as the pot is small. A little rubbed into your fingertips & massage onto your face a goes a long way. Definitely worth a purchase to hydrate your skin. Very happy with this product & would buy again😁

I've used this cleanser for years, it smells lovely, makes my skin clean, soft, supple and dewy. I use it with a silicone , battery operated face cleansing tool and my mature skin has no blackheads, no large pores, no spots or blemishes and has a natural healthy glow. It might seem expensive but the jar lasts a long time and it is a premium product. I wouldn't use any other cleanser.

I'm super pleased with this! I dont tend to wear make up alot of the times but when I do i usually use any old oil and water to wash it off. I'll be honest it's the price of this item that attracted me and the positive reviews. The 20g size is perfect for me as it's one less huge bottle to carry around or store on a shelf for months on end. I have smooth skin but was shocked that after using this as my skin was even smoother. Infact it smoothed out the skin on my nose beautifully. It neutralised the level of sebum my skin was emitting. Sebum is good for you but I just had way too much around my nose. In the past I used charcoal strips etc for my nose but this does such a better job. I've added a photo to show you how much you get compared to standard 50ml pot. The 20gram pot is a very good size even if you use it everyday you'll get 1 month use from it. I also think its extraordinarily affordable for a "luxury"brand. So you can just buy as you need. I wet my face then use a little spatula to put the product onto my skin and rub that in really well. The scent I have picked up are rose geranium and lavender. It's Very pleasant and non irritating. I do find that using this in the day makes my skin quite shiny so it will be one I'll use only when needed or weekly which is why I am so happy they do this small pot. If you like the spatula I picked that up for free from keihls-they usually have them around. I use the spatula because i find if i wet my face first and use my finger then the oil inside turns a little white. So try not get it wet. But definitely buy this you wont regret it!

Product smells strongly of star fruit which is kind of like a fruity spice scent. Difficult to explain. But it is so strong. I have sensitive skin so the smell made me nervous of trying it but I did a little patch test and then used it properly and no reaction which is great. It made my skin soft but felt I needed moisturiser straight afterwards. I have combination skin and felt nice but feel like this is perfect for oily skin. I used it all over my face including eyes. You have to be really gentle with the eyes, i found it stung/tingled for like a minute afterwards and then was fine. But it did remove my make up and waterproof mascara. I will use this pot up but the scent has put me off buying again. Especially as its quite pricey for what you get.

I haven't tried other Elemis products but I've heard a lot about them and after trying this cleansing balm I have to say the product definitely is worth the hype. However, it's quite costly for average consumer and I would like to believe that there are more affordable, as effective, cleansing balms on the market. Nonetheless, the texture is smooth with faint odour and you don't need a lot of product to clean your face, which means that whilst it's costly, it will last relatively long time for you. I have also quite sensitive/dry skin which the products handled very well. In conclusion, a great product if you can afford it.

After receiving the small 20g travel size jar, I opened it up to use it and was greeted with what i would say is a chemical smell, this led me to come back to amazon and read the reviews, upon doing so i saw a few that mentioned fakes and thought just my luck, its probably fake cos of the smell and i couldnt see the little picture of a jar with the digits and letter M next to it stating the product 'used by date'. After speaking to some friends i was able to compare my product to one that my friend had that was purchased direct from the Elemis website, both products smelt exactly the same and all of the people present at the time of comparison said that the product had a nice smell, some said a eucalyptus kind of scent so it must be my sense of smell thats strange and upon closer inspection the little sticker on the bottom was peelable and had 2 more little pages that stated the products 'used by date'. My conclusion is that it is after all a genuine product and now that I've used it i can say it makes my face feel lovely, I would recommend this product.

I've been double cleansing for over 6 months with my humble face shop rice water oil and foaming cleanser, but wanted to try something different. Be warned that this is not 100ml but 30ml, so is perfect as a tester. Whilst it's a luxurious balm, with a spa scent, I was disappointed that it barely touched my make up even with the help of my foaming cleanser. It does work as a moisturising mask but if I have to use my micellar water after cleansing with this and a lot of cotton pads, it's not really doing what it says on the tin. It's frustrating as it feels like it should cleanse, and i don't wear a ton of product, but I'll stick with my cheap but effective cleansing duo.

Gently cleanses and does not dry skin. There is a lingering scent after wash. I am not a huge fan of products with added fragrance but this one does not hurt my skin. Writing this review after 3 weeks of usage.

Da sempre amante di sieri e creme, da qualche mese ho iniziato a fare 2 volte al giorno (mattina e sera) la skincare, seguendo quello che viene definito "il metodo coreano". Tale metodo richiede i seguenti passaggi: 1) Prima detersione: burro struccante, a seguito del quale è necessario passare un panno umido sul viso per rimuovere i residui. 2) Seconda detersione: detergente schiumogeno; anche dopo questo secondo passaggio è necessario passare un panno umido. 3) Scrub (2 volte a settimana) 4) Tonico viso, da tamponare con i polpastrelli 5) Maschera in tessuto (1 volta al giorno) 6) Essenza (grande sconosciuta per noi occidentali) 7) Siero 8) Crema contorno occhi/patch per le occhiaie 9) Crema idratante 10) Protezione solare 50+ (solo la mattina) Questo burro struccante è eccezionale e prepara al meglio la mia pelle per tutti gli altri passaggi. Rimuove facilmente anche il trucco waterproof e le tinte labbra normalmente più difficili da rimuovere. Trovo l'odore molto gradevole, simile a quello delle caramelle balsamiche che acquisto solitamente in parafarmacia. E' molto delicato, ma per evitare il bruciore agli occhi consiglio - dopo averlo applicato - di passare un panno umido sugli occhi e, solo dopo, procedere al risciacquo. Anche se applicato su pelle non truccata è favoloso: si ha proprio una sensazione di "pulizia", si sente che rimuove tutto lo sporco e l'inquinamento dal viso. Unica nota "negativa": dai numerosi video visti sui social credevo bastasse davvero pochissimo prodotto per struccare il viso, ma in realtà serve una noce di prodotto per struccare per bene il tutto (ed io non uso truccarmi molto); è sicuramente un qualcosa da tenere in considerazione dato il prezzo comunque elevato di questo burro. Ad ogni modo consiglio vivamente il prodotto, la differenza sulla pelle si nota tantissimo!!
