This is an amazingly well made self-leveling tamper. Fits like a glove. Heavy, substantial, and works as needed. Absolutely no lateral play. Very easy to use, especially after breaking it in. We'll worth the money! Cleaning is a bit difficult until it's broken in, but easy after.

Love this guy. Really excellent little tamper - works great, excellent build quality, tight fit in portafilter basket, feels good in your hand. I don't really care about the calibrated pressure, but I love that it is self leveling. Even with 10+ years of barista experience I still would end up with crookedly pressed pucks before I bought this.

The tamper works and looks great. The one downside I would say is it seems to hold on to grounds fairly easy. Needs regular cleaning and getting grounds out of the area above the actual tamper can be difficult. You have to apply a lot of force to open it up while attempting to remove grounds was challenging. This may be normal for tampers like this though.

Avoid at all costs; this tool is flawed by DESIGN. It is misleading in its functionality. See, the spring is attached between the handle and the baffle (= centering ring that rests on the rim of the filter basket). I measured a spring force of roughly 12lbs. But this force is required to overcome the resistance between handle and center-ring / baffle _before_ the tamping base touches the coffee in the basket!!! By compressing the spring, you litterally do nothing to the coffee. Mechanically, you now have to *add* additional force to compress the coffee! This is actually and literally defeating the purpose of this tool! In short: the center ring rests on the rim of the basket and the handle is connected to the center ring via a spring. The force required to compress the center ring and handle equals the resistance of the spring. And this is *before* you are moving the tamping base plate even a single millimeter towards the coffee. Mine goes back to Amazon instantly.

Il pressino a molla NEOUZA da 51 mm è davvero un gran bell’accessorio: solido, preciso e con quella sensazione “professionale” che mancava al mio angolo caffè. La molla interna e il sistema autolivellante fanno la magia: basta una pressione e il caffè è sempre livellato in modo uniforme, senza doverci stare a pensare troppo o rischiare estrazioni storte. La base piatta in acciaio inox è robusta e antiaderente, si pulisce in un attimo e non lascia residui. L’impugnatura è comoda e ben rifinita, elegante da vedere e piacevole da usare: non il solito pezzo di metallo anonimo, ma uno strumento che ti fa venire voglia di usarlo ogni mattina. In sintesi: pratico, affidabile e con un tocco di raffinatezza. Un accessorio che trasforma la routine del caffè in un vero rito da barista. 5 stelle piene: con questo in mano, l’espresso sembra sempre uscito da una caffetteria di alto livello.
