Review: This little device saved me from spending MUCH more within minutes after installing it - Wife and I went on a camping trip, first day was for "self contained" / no hookups. Disaster struck, the "Coach" DC power was lost, it appeared as tho the batteries had completely died, we were up the river without a paddle so to speak. The following day we moved to full hookup site and everything OK. When I got home, tried to solve the problem of what is wrong with the DC power? I pulled the batteries out thinking they needed replacement (after less than 2 years), thought about buying a new converter / inverter. I tried to charge the batteries outside of the camper and they seemed to take it. Next morning, I installed this monitor, re-installed the batteries, and tried to start things up. The monitor was showing I had 13 volts, yet nothing was getting to the devices (lights, etc) and the camper monitor was dead / no LEDs for anything. I had my wife cycle the "COACH:" connect / disconnect switch and we could hear it, I followed the sound to the engine compartment (Class A Motorhome) and located the sound, as well as a small metal 'box' with a black button sticking out the right side of it, I pushed it in and that apparently reset a breaker, which then enable DC power to ALL devices. Problem solved! Bottom line, I NEEDED this device so I can more accurately diagnose problems with my system, it at least told me I had voltage at the batteries when nothing else in the camper could tell me that. AND, it monitors current, and I now can tell whether or not it is being charged, and what load is on it. Thinking ok buying one of these for my motorcycle too. 3 pics: 1st one shows overall installation, battery was just switched "ON" and is being charged by the converter, 2nd pic is closeup of 1st pic, 3rd is battery disconnected / not being charged OR discharged

First, IN THE BOX, it arrived with a single page, color diagram showing how to connect the meter, how to reset the meter and how to interpret the current (when neg flow). The text was in good sentences. The opening was large enough to pass over a 1/0 wire AND the lug. Out of the box, the current reading and voltage reading agreed with my calibrated meter. I'm using it on a 48V solar system to track inverter charge current and battery voltage (independent of the inverter) and its working great. No need for a separate 12V supply, it works directly off the range of voltage (45V to 58V).

**Q: Can the unit handle short period inrush current over 100A?
And why not allow remote reset button?**
A: Yes. It won't damage the meter with the short period current over 100A.

**Q: How long is the shorter CT cable? Only the length of the longer cable is listed.**
A: The length of the short CT cable is 5.9inch(15cm).

**Q: I see how you can zero the current measurement, but my voltage measurement is off by a full 0.5V. How is the voltage measurement calibrated?**
A: Please follow the instructions below to reset the voltage value to factory setting and it should solve the prolem.  If not, please click the link of "ask seller" in your order details to get a replacement.

How to reset the voltage value to factory setting:
Press and hold the back button for 6 seconds then release the button. And it will display "5HH" on the screen.

**Q: does this work with lead acid and lithium batteries ?**
A: You can measure any DC 5~100V 100A power source with this meter no matter what type of your battery.

VERY ACCURATE. Identical results as my Victron. Average volts 48 to 54 and max 28 amps. Only issue is one of the LEDs is failing. Connected less than a week.
