I wouldn't call it a high speed board more for carving etc. Kick tails are use able, board is super light and easy to kick around. I tried it on caliber ii and Paris v2 both 50 degree both about 10", sector 9 72mm wheels, bones super reds, zero wheel bite but the Paris trucks get real close. I prefer the caliber setup but I'm a noob so I'm partial to more stable feeling trucks. Great board looks fantastic in person, would make a great first board to develop skills on.
