I bought this for my children who love to read. It helps so much with books that has more challenging vocabulary that they don't have to ask me, or type it up to look up the definition. It's super easy to use and very accurate. You can choose a few different types of dictionaries. If there is a word in the definition that they don't understand, they can highlight that word to see its definition too. Their ages when I got it for them were 6 and 8 years old. It's great for even younger kids to even adults. The only requirement is that the font size of the words have to fit in the width of the C pen. So any text-heavy kids book or novel would be okay. Very highly recommended product!

Great pen, really gave my kid the encouragement needed to read more on their own with a tool to help on the big words. As time goes on they use it less but it's still very helpful! Dictionary is lacking, and name pronunciation is questionable but it's a great tool. Happy and satisfied with the purchase and would recommend.

My child has dyslexia, and this reading pen is very empowering for her. She is able to read books at her grade level by herself, because she can use the C Pen to read and look up any words she doesn't understand. It took us a little while to figure out how to work the reading pen because the instructions are a bit lacking, but now that we have it figured out it's easy. The only negative I can see is that the dictionary must not be a full dictionary. My daughter is currently reading a historical fiction novel, and some of the words don't show up in this pen's dictionary. They aren't words that are as commonly used these days, but they should still show up in the dictionary.

Never worked properly. A complete waste of time and money. Do not buy this product.

We found the C-pen Exam Reader more intuitive with a better menu. All of these pens are better than they were 10 years ago. Best for sporadic use, not continuous reading. from Special Ed Tech Center

There is a little bit of a learning curve to use this but now that I've figured it out ... it's great for getting books read.

This a super tool for my partner who is vision impaired. Made his life a much more independent and he don't have to rely on others to read any of his correspondence. He is very happy to receive this.
