Great multimeter. Easy to use and nice features. Excellent display.

I accidentaly had it on the wrong setting and plugged it into my 110 volt wall socket. Heard a loud "pop" and flash coming from the unit. It protected itself and my socket from tripping the circuit breaker! Wow, nice feature. Melted the red probe tip just a little, but still very usable.

works fine for testing batteries including car battery. Photo shows batteries included by they are not, you will need 3 AAA batteries. Instructions are hard to follow, and small print, so rely on youtube videos to explain how to use if you're not familiar.

This is a really well made multimeter. Has all the basic functions and more. Unfortunately it doesn’t have a capacitance functionality but that is available with the more expensive model. The actual meter is solid and feels very well made. It’s slightly heavy which, to me, is always a good sign with these kind of things. It looks great and fits in your hand nicely with Pugh being too bulky. Also has a magnet at the back to place on Steel surfaces and a holder to place the leads in at the back. The leads are decent quality. Just don’t rough handle them and they should last. The NCV feature is great. It detects live wires in the wall or wherever there is a live wire and starts to beep faster the closer to the wire you get. Great for checking wires that need to be found in concealed areas. You can check batteries and their health. You can test for continuity in wires and circuits and even test diodes and leds. The measurements are accurate and it’s comes calibrated already with a good user manual. A must have for anyone tinkering with electrical goods and electronics. The torch is a little dull but works in dark areas. Having the backlight light up is also very helpful. I am using it for basic electronics repair and household repairs and it’s doing the job perfect. Don’t buy the cheap yellow and black multimeters because while the meters may be good, the leads they come with are junk and will break and cut very quickly. This is a great investment.

This multimeter is just awesome, the design is very rugged and robust, but it might not survive a big fall. Its ease of use is very hassle free and the compactness is awesome, although its a manual range it is still very good. The NCV has a few false alarms but works just as expected. The continuity is a little laggy but a lot better than the other multimeters at this price range, but it has its faws. like the kickstand feels very flimsy and feels like it could break. I dont trust the magnet, i mean its strong but it does scratch the surface a little. The display has poor viewing angles and is dim. The probes that come with are of decent quality. So the conclusion is that its a good true RMS meter, as long as you dont need to measure AC current, this is the perfect multimeter for hobbyists and tinkerers and is perfect for projects. Reccomended to buy.
