How does it track your heart rate?

I don’t think it does so I ditched it

How can this show your heartbeat if you wear it on your belt??

It doesn't. You mainly just get credit for your steps when you use the clip. I only use it when I'm already wearing a watch and don't want to have two different things on my wrists, but want to keep tracking my steps in one place.

Will this work for sleep tracking?

Update on this: I clip the tracker close to my heart and it will track as if it’s on my wrist. Works during workouts, normal day use and sleeping. I know in an earlier post they said it didn’t for them but it works for me.
