Better than I had any right to expect.
I’m typically a red wine guy and have made dozens of wines from kits (in addition to using my grandfather’s press and making several batches from scratch). I wasn’t expecting much from this kit, but figured a white for cooking wouldn’t be a bad idea. So, I bought the Wild Grapes kit, figuring “what the hell.” 1. The kit was SIMPLE to make. Nothing complicated, minimal equipment required. 2. This is an entry level price kit. I’ll pay $200 for a nice red kit and it’s worth it. At $80, it’s a smaller investment than dinner out for the family at fast food. 3. My Adult kids and their friends LOVED this wine. WE went through the 30 bottles in a flash… no one who tried this wine was disappointed. 4. It’s not a complicated flavor to this wine. It’s pleasant simple and refreshing. Really easy to drink. 5. I saved 2 bottles before friends and family scarfed up the batch. How long will the wine improve? God only knows - it doesn’t seem to last that long. At this price and level of simplicity, I have to go 5 stars. It’s not a connoisseur wine. It’s a fun wine. Fun and easy to make. Fun and easy to drink.

I came from an Italian family we used to make wine from scratch and that my friend is a chore and some of the wine will go bad had to wait for months and deal with cloudy wine never mind too much work and the quality was just ok Si I get this figured well I can alway throw it away no big deal is easy to prepare no problem and after the 14 th day on a Sunday at 7 am we figured ahh it must be done let’s try it and did we try it we must have had a couple of liters before breakfast this is an excellent product the wine is clear no off smells no cloudy wine no waiting for months have purchased 5 or 6 kits after this one love it I like Pinot Grigio is one of my favorite wines we carbonated some of it and made the mis incredible sparkling wine that goes super with aperol great idea

Turned out fantastic, drinkable immediately
I made the Wild Grapes Australian Chardonnay. I followed the instructions for the full six gallons using the included french oak but the with the following additions: added enough sugar to bring SG up to 1.100, added the zest of one grapefruit, and added 1 pound of chopped golden raisins (in a mesh bag). I was a little worried when the fermenting temperature went to about 80 (summer in the South) but apparently no harm done. I let the SG and fermentation activity determine the pace of moving from step to step. Start to finish (cleared and bottled) 27 days. I suspect high temperature made things go faster. I was VERY surprised at how good it tasted immediately. Ending SG was .990 and fermentation had stopped completely so I assumed it would taste very dry. Not so. It has a fruity, very slightly sweet finish and very good body. I'm more than pleased.

Chardonnay wild grapes very old kits
The grape juice is brown. It seems the juices get brown when oxidised due to age. I put it in the bucket the yeast is not working. I did not make it right away but wines kits is typically good for quite a while, mostly 18 to 24 months. I make wine regular and the Chardonnay should be a pale yellow goldfish color. This brow weird smelling mess they send me is not acceptable. This was a nice wine but it seems ya all is selling ancient rotten rubbish. Don't buy this stuff from Amazon. Find a brew supply store

Includes High Fructose. 👎
Very poor product and description. No where did it list HIGH FRUCTOSE and it was the second largest ingredient. I’ll never buy this inferior product again.

not a dry tasting wine
Easy to make; however, final product is sweeter than a chardonnay. It was more on the level of a Reisling. If you are a true 'dry' wine lover, then this is not the choice you would want to make.
