**Q: What is the spade lug size needed for this power supply? Or can I insert Pomona banana jacks into the terminals?**
A: You will need a size of at least 6mm for the spade lug or a diameter of 4mm for banana jacks.

**Q: could this power a 500w 4-channel amplifier for car speakers? it has a 60amp fuse and only requires 12v to turn on.**
A: short answer is no.  13.8 is standard automotive voltage at maximum charge, so that will be fine.  but this PS will not deliver the 60 amps.  most likely the self-protection circuit in the PS will "fold back", that is deliberately throttle the current delivered to a low value.  this normally entails a concurrent reduction in output voltage and that will cause your amp to turn-off.  turning the PS power switch momentarily off should clear the fault.  while both amp and PS may survive the event, it is a warning that either could fail the next time around.

**Q: Can this supply be used to power a 5 amp dc motor?**
A: I'm afraid that the SPS-1330 is not designed for powering DC motors.
We recommend you choose an adjustable DC power supply instead, such as our SPS-3005 series.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best 50 Amp Power Supply for the Money

I have had this power supply now for several months and it works as advertised. I like that it has two LED lit dials, one for amps being drawn and one for voltage. I have mine set for 13.8 volts DC as recommended by most amateur radio gear. When transmitting with my HF or VHF transceiver at 100 watts, the voltage does not drop any nor does the needle even flicker. The amp meter does show the proper amount of amperage being used. The fan does NOT run constantly like a lot of the switching power supplies do. It is a very quiet power supply. The fan will come on if I am running high wattage on 100% duty cycle modes of transmission. The fan runs only until the unit cools back down and the fan is not very loud. The unit has a voltage adjust knob on the front along with an offset knob for moving any "birdies" that the power supply might generate, but I have not found that to be a problem. There are also two sets of Anderson Power Poles on the front along with a cigarette lighter type outlet. The main power is supplied through two heavy duty connectors on the back of the unit. I do highly recommend this power supply for a radio amateur and the price is the best around for a 50 amp supply.
