A very good reliable harmonica at a very good price. The Tuning is only different in one note but that has opened up a lot of new ideas for me. You don’t even have to know a real Irish tune to begin faking them convincingly right away - that is if you are already a reasonably adept harmonica player.

I have all four keys of the Paddy tuned instruments in this Easttop series. These harps are tight, well-tuned, responsive and loud. They also have in my opinion an interesting quaity to the sound, very much like my Suzuki Promaster harps. I also use Hohner Special 20s and I own one Seydel (also Paddy tuned from factory like these Easttops--I tune the Hohners and Suzuki's to Paddy Richter tuning myself). The Easttop harps compare well with all these other instruments, though I can't say I prefer the Easttop harps. The main way they excell is in price. Can't say yet how durable they are, but right out of the box, these are great harps at any price and totally unexpected in a $10 instrument. I use Lee Oskar (Tombo) instruments also and have nothing bad to say about them. But I definitely prefer the Easttop feel and sound to that of the Tombo's.

I think East Top is known as a budget harp. It definitely is one of the least expensive. I did not want to pay a premium price for a specialty harmonica (this one has Paddy tuning) because I will only use it for a few songs. To my surprise it really compares well to my other harmonicas (Hohner, Harmo, Fender Blues Deville), at least in the short term. It is in tune, it bends fairly well and the volume is acceptable. It won't make me switch brands but in a pinch it does the job.

This is a really nice little instrument. The sound is excellent, and it's easy to play. It slides easily in my mouth. It is easy to carry it in a pocket. The case is small and sturdy. I am enjoying playing Irish and American folk music on it.

My wife got me this for Christmas (along with a G) because she knew I was interested in playing Irish music on the Harmonica. I already had a standard Richter in C, so I knew that this was a good value harp. Is it going to match the best Suzuki, Hohner or Seydel produce? I kind of doubt it.. but this is an excellent starter instrument that will get you a long way before you start bumping into its limits, and far better than what you will get from Hohner for the same price. I suppose I should mention what Paddy is.. in this case, it is short for Paddy Richter tuning... A variant of the standard Richter tuning, it raises the third blow hole (a duplicate of the 2 draw) a tone which makes it much easier to play Irish Tunes on it (And other melodies). You are going to want one in G and one in D (and if you have spare change, an A and C would occasionally be useful). In any case, there are other tunings you could try if you want to play Irish music (solo/orchestra, melody maker (from Lee Oskar), major cross tunings, etc.), but Paddy Richter has probably become the most common, both because it was invented and promoted by Brendan Power and because it is relatively easy to modify the standard blues harp to this tuning.

So pleasant to play. Really if you don't know how to play it still sound good if the other musician does (if that makes sense). Literally just blow and suck up and down the harp and you are playing.

At first I was not fully sold on East top brand but, I thought I would give it a try. I have always played Hohner harmonicas and always trusted them. However, boy was I surprised! The quality of this instrument and the sound really had me in shock. Exactly like Hohner but heavier, bright sounding, and air tight! A real steal for the price! I could not believe it! I would recommend this harmonica for anyone looking to play Irish, or Celtic Music! Hohner does not have one on the market! Seriously get this one! You will be pleased!

This Paddy Richter tuned Easttop harmonica feels solid, well constructed. It played well out of the box. I have already enjoyed playing it with bluegrass songs. It replaces the redundant 3-blow of standard Richter tuning with a different note (the 6th) one step up (which is missing from the standard Richter tuning). This makes it better for playing melodies in 1st position (same key as the song). It was designed for Irish music and is not appropriate for playing blues, but I think it can probably work with lots of pop songs if you're playing melodies one note at a time. The main disadvantage is that you can no longer play nice chords on the low end of harp without blocking the 3-hole with your tongue (which can be tricky for inexperienced players). That's why it's best suited for runs of notes played one at a time, instead of playing chords or a mix of single notes and chords. My only negative about this harp is that its cover plates are either made from aluminum or their painted surface makes them non-magnetic. This is a problem for me because my main harmonica rack is magnetic, and I have to use one of my old school racks. (I've gotten lazy, being able to quickly pop a harp off the magnetic rack and put new one in without going through the wrestling match entailed with the spring racks.) Good value for the money otherwise.

Ojo, no solo es una buena armónica barata. Es una buena armónica y punto. La recomiendo muchísimo, especialmente para principiantes , pero también para nivel medio. Si quieres probar la armónica, empezar por aquí o por una Lee Oskar me parece muy buena idea, pero esta es la más barata de las dos.

Very good quality for the price. Bends well. Won't overblow though out of the box, but that's expected.

Die Blues Mundharmonika habe ich meinem Bruder geschenkt, der neben Akkordeon auch sehr fortgeschritten das diatonische Mundharmonikaspiel beherrscht. Er hat sich sehr über diese Mundharmonika gefreut und bestätigt, dass sie eine sehr hohe Qualität hat. Die Mundharmonika ist bestens verarbeitet und sehr hochwertig. Sie ist sie wird in einer hübschen Aufbewahrungstasche geliefert und klingt wunderschön. Mein Bruder hat schon diverse Instrumente, bestätigt aber, dass diese Blues -Mundharmonika den hochpreisigen Instrumenten in seiner Sammlung in nichts nachsteht. Offenbar haben wir mit diesem Geschenk ins Schwarze getroffen und vergeben uneingeschränkte fünf Sterne
