Worked 2 times now not working...
Unit worked great for 2 times, but the 3rd time it only worked some times & trying again now, it does not work at all? Ruined my brew day, not to mention all the ingredients... Please advise on what to do. Thanks, Bobby

Great heating element
Use this to brew beer with and works great. Love that it has the tri clover clamp built in. Heats up my water super fast.

Stainless steel element heats water quick!
Works perfect for my 1.5in triclamp for my mash ton/kettle. This allows me to boil water much faster than my old 120v setup. Easy to clean with a little bit of steel wool, doesnt hurt the element at all. I'll buy again if I need another.

We use this product on our three barrel brewhouse. Great heating element, but not great for Brewing beer
Great heating element, but not great for Brewing beer. I've scorched my wort and made it taste like an ashtray. Ideally, what you want is the Ultra Low Watt Density (ULWD) heating element that won't scorch when there's concentrated levels of sugar collecting around it.

Slick solution, worth the coin.
I'm using this with a Spike Kettle. Don't debate on the extra $$ for the tri-clamp and plug... it's very nice to be able to remove the cord for cleaning.

Multiple failures
I have purchased many of these for my brewery. Initially I had several failures, including scorched wort and burnt elements. Eventually it led to fry the receptacle on my control panel and melt away two brand new cables. I wouldn't recommend using these for brewing beer.

It works!!
Ordered this element to go electric from natural gas brewing. Punched a hole in my pot and bought a controller. Heated 6 gallons (24 ish litres) from 8C to 50C in 15 minutes. Delivery was fast. First electric brew day tomorrow.

Element quality not comparable to camco. Not worth your money.
Product has some type of plastic residue on it which I was able to get off with heating and cleaning it well.Twist lock connector doesn’t fit great, I have other twist lock connections at home .Element scorched it’s first back of beer so I am returning it ASAP.

element coated with unknown plastic. not in description
i ordered this element. the element is coated with a clear plastic that is not in the item desciption. i can’t find any further information on what this coating is, and the description clearly states that the element is stainless steel. i am returning this element as i do not want to poison myself or anyone else drinking my beer.also: the prongs for the 240v connector were bent on mine and other users mentioned they break off after only a few months use.
