The internet speed depends on the contract with the ISP, the house environment and the client's hardware so it's impossible to answer precisely what the actual speeds will be. I recommend you the system with Tri-Band-WLAN RBK50. It is compatible with any Internet Service Provider up to 1 Gbps including cable, satellite, fibre, DSL and more. If you have any questions, you can also check out our community NETGEAR Best regards, NETGEAR Amazon UK **Q: I think 1 router and 1 satellite should be good enough for my use. However, if it is not, is it possible to buy one more standalone satellite?** A: I don't know the answer but I would recommend you don't skimp. I live in a smallish 3 bed apartment but it is long so put the router in the middle and a satellite at each end to brilliant effect! If perhaps you have a small square house where you could have the router downstairs and the satellite upstairs (with no concrete in between) then you should be OK. Buy it and enjoy it! **Q: Can I connect this directly to my Openreach fibre socket or will I need a separate modem?** A: Hi, I have fibre to the home and connected my Orbi directly to the little white incoming fibre box, getting rid of my ISP's router. To do this you may need some settings. These can either be found on the Web or gotten from your ISP. Otherwise you can also use your ISP router (modem) and let the Orbi handle the WIFI. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent MESH network, Improved FTTP Speeds, now matching what they should be delivering *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 14 October 2024* Im an EE FTTP 1GB customer, the router isnt that bad, but my house does have drop out zones... so ive been watching this kit for some time. Bought it over the Amazon Price Drop few days.Im impressed. EE Routers dont convert to a Modem, so unplugged it and connected the Orbi straight to the BT Plug. Got my username and password settings from my old routers admin page, crossed my fingers... and BOOM! doubled my wireless speeds throughout my house, connected devices remained as high as they were. couple of fine tuning for smart plugs and Ring cameras, but if i can do it, anyone can! early days i know, buy very pleased, easy to install - be patient when attaching the satellite ! ### ⭐ Difficult to set up and failed to work *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 18 August 2024* For someone who is a little technically minded and used to work in IT Support, I found this to be really difficult to setup.I had to use tech support to help me and get me to plug, reset, try again, reset again over and over again. Must've spent over 8 hours trying to get this to work only for support to raise a RMA for one of the satellites. I could not, no matter what I tried, get the satellites to the ethernet as backhaul channel so I can use the wifi channel to get better speed. In the end, I was getting worse speeds than my Ruckus, which is years old. Rather than return a satellite on the RMA, I have decided to return this kit.You only get limited tech support from Netgear. I will not be buying another Netgear Wifi system in the future as this caused me so much headache.Just wanted to share my experience, so you have some information to make an informed choice. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Massive upgrade from previous system *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 2 April 2023* Having heard very positive things about the speed of Orbi WiFi 6 systems, I ordered this to supplement a Tenda wi-if mesh system that was in operation already. The difficulty I had with that system that while great for general use around the house, it was topping out at 120-130 mbps and was struggling to get 60 in my home office. This was mainly due to a couple of quirks of the home build effectively creating an accidental faraday cage around my workspace.Enter Orbi.Setup was really simple - plug in, switch on, let the wizard do all the connections, change passwords and network names etc. there were a couple of steps I had to repeat as the wizard seems quicker than the routers but no real drama.Result? Consistent 400Mbps in the office, basically the same speed as at the modem. The control app is typically netgear in that it has plenty of options but is typically over complicated and hides a few critical items down sub menu rabbit holes. Traffic metering for example, and device connection is a bit all over the place.Adding satellites is easy however and with 1 base and 2 satellites I’ve seen vastly increased performance across a 2300 sq ft home.Overall definitely worth it if you are happy with the cost of entry ## Frequently Bought Together - NETGEAR Orbi Mesh WiFI System (RBK762S) |WiFi 6 Router with 1 Satellite Extenders | Speeds up to 5.4 Gbps |Coverage 4,000 sq ft and 75 devices - NETGEAR Orbi Wall Mount Kit RBKWM-10000S - HOLACA Orbi WiFi 6 Wall Mount Holder, Router Mounting Brackets for Orbi WiFi 6 Mesh System (RBS760, RBK762S, RBK763S) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.fr/products/474467155-orbi-tri-band-wifi-6-mesh-network-system-rbk762s-router](https://www.desertcart.fr/products/474467155-orbi-tri-band-wifi-6-mesh-network-system-rbk762s-router) --- *Product available on Desertcart France* *Store origin: FR* *Last updated: 2026-10-10*
