I just attached the hair extensions to the net using the crotchety hook as if I am attaching to my head. So I can wear it as a wig. I can make as many as I want and change my hair styles as I want. Another benefit is that I don't have to sit down for hours attaching to my head. This is what I like about the net. But you can do what is convenient for u. **Q: I’d like to use this to clip extensions to with some leave out. Would this work?** A: I was not sent the make your own wig cap I was sent this instead. If you’d like to add extensions to a leave out I would not suggest the Qfitt Mesh Make Your Own wig cap. **Q: Does it rip easily ?** A: No they are very good and sold in most beauty supply stores.
