Zinus Eden Metal Daybed with Trundle, Mattress Foundation with Steel Slat Support, Easy Assembly, Twin

After reading reviews on this product, I was worried about putting it together. I procrastinated for over a month and left it in the box. I just put it together this week, and it was wonderful! All of the parts are numbered, there's even a ratchet tool included to help with putting in the screws. The parts are bundled by which section they're in, which also makes it easier to sort things out. I put it together by myself in a couple of hours. The pictures show you which area you're working on, the numbers line up great. I bought it mostly for the price, but it's really solid metal, and it looks just like the picture, and is really sturdy. Thanks for a great product at a great price!

I read the reviews before purchasing and decided to take the plunge. I am a 68 yo female and was able to put this together by myself. Great video and instructions. Very intuitive. It seems very stable and well made. I'm awaiting for my mattress' to be delivered and it will be complete. I rarely write reviews but felt it necessary as this purchase was well worth the money. Buy it, you won't be sorry. Oh, and the little ratchet that came with the bed ... kudos! So much better than those allen keys they usually come with. Although this did come with one but never got used. Thanks Zinus. Well done.

We needed a day bed for when our daughter and son-in-law stay with us. Both are (for lack of a better wording) on the heavy side. We had looked at day beds locally at mattress stores, IKEA and Walmart(none looked adequate). I ordered this based on ratings(was a little worried about some reviews about missing parts). Parts were all packed well and numbered. The instructions were well illustrated and straight forward, came with a small ratcheting allen wrench that made it quick to assemble. All parts were there, even had spare bolts. I think it took about 20 minutes to assemble. The slats are rectangular bars that are spaced closely and appear to be VERY strong. I Bought a LUCID 8" medium firm memory foam/gel mattress on Amazon and it fits with more than an inch of clearance for the bottom roll out unit. The top of the daybed we are using an IKEA medium firm individually wrapped springs twin mattress that we bought locally and really like. I am impressed, this day bed reminds me of the good old made in USA products we had 40 years ago. Hard to believe it is made in China.

I bought the product for spare bedroom. Received the product the box was beat up/damaged on both ends but I figured that could happen in transport and the product was probably ok. When I began unboxing I noticed that the box had been resealed with with tape, so I’m thinking it was a return that someone changed their mind about. No problem, as long as contents are in tact, it will be ok, I said to myself. Well I unpacked the box and inventoried all components - all here. But, the piece that runs across the back of the daybed (it looks like a ladder) was bent. Contacted Amazon same day, advised to contact manufacturer “Zinus” regarding replacement under warranty. Customer service at Zinus was very helpful. I received email from Zinus customer service stating the replacement part has been requested, allow 7-10 business days for shipment and the service representative said she would contact me within 2-3 business days if it was determined the part was not available. Wouldn’t you know it, 2 business days later, I get an email notifying me the part is not available and no timeline on when or if it would be received. I was instructed to contact Amazon for refund or exchange. (I assembled the bed without the damaged part because I was sure that I would get the replacement part. The bed is very sturdy (even without the damaged part) and easy to assemble and disassemble. Amazon had no exchange option only return. So, unfortunately that’s what I’ll do. ( I would have been willing to keep the daybed and use it without the damaged part for a reduction in purchase price). I packed all parts back in the original damaged box it came in and secured it with plenty shipping tape (the box looks better than when I received it). The Zinus daybed with trundle would have been a keeper if I had received a replacement part or a price reduction.

This daybed was surprisingly easy to assemble. No weird extra screws, no mystery parts, and no dramatic arguments with myself about what “left side” means. We put it in our short-term rental, and it’s been a hit. The trundle rolls in and out so smoothly on its caster wheels, it’s basically the bed version of a figure skater. It’s also pretty easy to make, which is a blessing because no one wants to wrestle with fitted sheets at 11pm when you’re tired and just want to sleep. Plus, it looks great once it’s all set up. Highly recommend — unless you’re specifically looking for a complicated, frustrating piece of furniture. In that case, you’ll be disappointed.

I don't think I've ever left a review for anything before. This bed was pretty simple to put together. Does need two people just for holding parts while the other person screws it in. It's very sturdy , neat looking and practical. The bottom does NOT fit a twin xl but the top does . I'm only adding that in there just incase someone has a twin xl and was curious . I have a 12in twin on the top and it's perfect . Very happy with this bed. It's only been one night so I'll back back in a month for an update.

This is a solid, easy to put together, attractive day bed that we’re very happy to have in out home for visiting grand kids. The pull out second bed that easily fits under neath is perfect for a child or teenager. Great buy!

So i was looking for a way to make an extra bed for guests...looked into bunk bed options but they seemed too small and too wobbly. Then i saw this...i have a twin bed so i decided to put the mattress on top of the daybed as one bed and the box spring with a piece of mem foam, quilt and sheet on the bottom trundle which is great as a bit of a harder type mattress or you can add another inflatable pad on top for extra padding after you pull it out from underneath the day bed. The day bed itself is killer sturdy w nice design and the slats are super smooth to put in both the day bed and the trundle. i got matte black and it feels just great. I draped a big bedspread on top and lots of cushions/pillow and finished it off with a statement cushion...my Frida Kahlo cusion lol :) I love it a looooot and hope that anyone who can afford it will get it so more people in the world will be comfy and able to offer their guests some great comfortable sleeping too :) !! Très facile à assembler. Je l’ai même fait avec ma fille. Beau look. Pensez à ne pas trop serrer les vis dès le départ pour pouvoir insérer plus facilement les travers. Nous avons fait des égratignures apparentes à un endroit à cause de ça. Le lit gigogne a tendance à rouler-glisser au sol malgré les freins sur deux roues. 4 freins auraient été plus efficaces. Les matelas peuvent glisser aussi un peu malgré les bandes autocollantes... Mais dans l’ensemble une belle base de lit, pratique, et à bon prix.

Great little bed! Super easy to put together with great instructions and stickers on each piece so you can match them up. Thoughtful little notes put in the box and tips for assembling. The little ratchet tool that is included in the kit ensures a super tight fit so the bed is very sturdy. Great value for the price. We have it at the cottage for extra room when the kids have a friend over.

Love love love this bed for my spareroom. The day bed look makes it feel less bedroomy and the trundle gives me two spaces for the price of one. Had memory foam mattress on top bed and regular foam on the bottom. Adults slept on both and said they were comfortable. Great value and easy to assemble!
