VerRich Silver 90x210cm Aluminium Chain Curtain Metal Door Fly Screens

Best purchase of the summer! Flies were driving us crazy. I’m from Australia, so I have plenty of experience with the pesky blighters - I thought I’d escaped them, but then this English summer is full of surprises. We love having the back door open for fresh air and a breeze, but the flies made it so uncomfortable. Even fly spray wasn’t keeping them away. We have now been fly-free for three days sine I put it up. It was easy to install, fits perfectly, took about 10 minutes. Looks really good too, sort of atmospheric. They come in different sizes to fit any door. Thoroughly recommend.

I've tried netted curtains than stick together. Yes they work but get dirty after time and not easy to walk through especially carrying something. Next plastic ribbons that hang down. Trouble with these is when the wind blows these come apart and let the flies in as they are light weight. Now we have these have been using them now since April and they are excellent. The weight keeps them hanging down, they're easy to walk through and look nice up at the door.

The screen itself, including the top rail is of very decent quality and construction. Easy to remove (or add, if you wish) sections of chain to adjust the drop length. The only pity is the fixings provided. The screen is not lightweight - a good thing! The four screw-in pegs supplied appear utterly inadequate to me. They may (I did not even trial them) technically support the weight of the screen but the shanks are too long and would result in the top rail not being flush to the doorframe or wall. I took a few days to consider alternatives and came up with the idea of using a cheap carpet strip; see photos. The strip that I bought is exactly 900mm (so no trimming required) and the profile is perfect to drop the top rail over, meaning that the rail is perfectly flush to the doorframe as well as supported along its entire length. May paint the carpet strip white when painting the rest of the porch. Back to the screen itself - highly recommended. Shame the manufacturer did not go the whole hog with the fixings; my solution would have probably only added less than a couple of pounds to the cost price.

It appears my back door is wider than the usual size and so I was very happy to find the wider curtain size available here. It arrived much sooner than expected too. There are hook fittings included, but they looked very long and the rawl plugs are absolutely huge and I was not happy about drilling such big holes in my door frame or brickwork, and in any case I don't have any drill bits that large. Having had a good think about an alternative I decided to try a fitting I got to hang a mirror, these are a pair of French cleats. I fixed them above the door, so that I didn't have to shorten the curtain, one each side. The rail slipped over the top of them easily and I'm delighted with the result. I love the curtain and feel it should last for years, so a good price.

I have bought this product before and I am more than happy with the quality. Easy to fit and durable.

This has worked fairly well at keeping flys out , delivery good and well packaged. Only thing would say it needs to be heavier . Thats why only 3 stars.

This product cost a lot. And it doesn't work at all. The fly's was still, if even more after i put it up. What a desipointment. Please don't waist your money on this product.
