Works!
We get yellow flies and their bite really hurts! They’ve chased me for yards. They don’t like to sun. So guess where I run to! They’ll even attack my car when I get home. I have to wait til they leave. They are attracted to dark moving objects. Do they fly right to these balls coated with sticky stuff. THESE REALLY ARE EFFECTIVE!!!

Bummed it didn’t work for me.
I was really hoping this would work. We caught one regular fly and one yellow fly in the many many weeks we’ve had it up however the yellow flies are still biting us. I have them both hanging from Shepherd’s hooks. I have reapplied the adhesive several times. I contacted the manufacturer and they offered to send me out a blue bug ball, but it has not attracted the yellow flies any more than the black one did. They’re still biting me!!

These work well to help keep biting bugs at bay
These work quite well at keeping biting yellow flies, the bane of a Florida existence in May and June, under control. I have four hanging from tree limbs around the edge of my yard. They aren't particularly pretty, but they are a conversation piece, that's for sure. One tip, however: the description is a little misleading. The balls themselves do not smell, but the tanglefoot spray smells like a fly strip, as it should, and you will smell it until it becomes set on the ball. Probably don't want to hang these too close to a picnic table just after spraying them.

Only had this up for 2 days so far. I'm in Wisconsin. Very effective on horse flies and deer flies.

No bugs period
Nothing sticks including grass after it came loose in high winds and it rolled across the lawn. I’ve emptied the spray can on two balls and not a fly to catch. What gives?

I buy these every year specifically for the yellow biting flies!!! They are amazing!

didn't catch nothing but leaves!
Put these up about 2 weeks ago and while they are super sticky the flies are not attracted to them. The woods of South MS has almost every biting fly known to man. 4 of these balls have not caught a single biting fly! don't waste your money.

Does not capture deer flies. But it says it does.
The only thing it did was catch some flies and butterflies. Definitely feel like it was a waste of money.
