Another of Civardi's books which are now out of print. One of the best books of dealing with the subject of male nudes. A great anatomy source as well.

Exactly what you can expect from such a great craftsman whom I admire truly. The book is very useful with regard to drawing skills you may dig when reading it.

Kinda boring actually, no offense to the author I am sure they tried but after looking at a few pages one really doesn't get anything out of it.

I do male nude or partially nude art from time to time in charcoal, carbon, and graphite drawings. This book shows the general outlines of the male figure and does minimally address shading. However, it doesn't deal sufficiently with the play of the light on the male figure or realistic and/or dramatic shading of the figure, at least not to meet my needs. It could be I'm still too much of an amateur, but I need more how-to's. However, I am glad I bought it, but just wish it went further than it does.

I thought I was in for a treat, but nooooooooo! Mundane and plain jane artwork that is not a bit interesting. I am so glad that my other artbook purchases are pleasing.

The book is okay,but not very informative, to be honestIts basically a bunch of ugly images, with no background, to how best to achieve these images.I guess one could trace them,but as I can draw anyway, its pointless really. I was hoping even to put them above my light box,but then I would have to destroy the book,by pulling out the pages, so no.So I live and learn, but not from this book

I am an artist and was looking for a book on the male nude these books are not easy to find as most books are of the female form .This book is one for my bookshelf an ideal resource book

This item was as described and arrived on schedule. Great product. purchased for my partner who is a artist and he is very happy with this as collecting all books by this author. He says it is great for progressing as a Artist.

It’s a fine book but REALLY dated and sadly unsexy with kind of uninteresting poses. How-to books need to be amazing to be useful in the YouTube era, and this one sadly should have been left behind 20 years ago.
