This one is the best ever. 👌 perfect sized for our *Carole Towne display collection - Remote works great/rechargeable coal car (usb included)/remote(2AA) variable speed forward and reverse,whislte button,sound on-off, smokestack on-off, and even blows steam from bottom when it stops! 3 weeks playing every day and 0 disappointment. Quality materials and easy to assemble. We couldn't even use all the track for our display.. see video. 2 boys love it.. We All Do! Oh... It stays On ThE TrAcKs!!! Big problem with 4 others we've had over the years.

Even the rechargeable train takes 2 AA batteries for the Controller. Still, that's better than also using 4 for the train itself, which would fairly quickly need new batteries. I have had no problems with the train getting derailed, as stated by some. I have had zero, even at 3/4 or more maximum speed. Young ones will probably need some help setting up the track locking pieces, but all works great. They should probably need help running the train at first. The train can be slowed to a final pause to make it easy to turn off at the switch on the engine. Great train for the price!!

Got this for under the Christmas tree. It works pretty well and I like the steam effect. The train horn sound is pathetic and sounds like a dying goose, but the look of the train is good for being a cheaper model train. But at least you can turn off the sound. Got this for husband and he wasn't interested in the sound so he likes it. However, his biggest complain is that the motor is noisy. We would like to have it on constantly going around the tree, but the sound gets annoying. The battery life seems alright but we haven't really tested it fully.

We got this to put under the Christmas tree just for fun, even though we're retired and don't have kids. It has a surprising number of fun features like a light in the front, a whistle (that can be muted), and steam that comes out of the smoke stack and from under the engine when it stops. They put a lot of thought into it. The remote is a little hard to use, since it's not always clear whether it is on or off, but it works. The track is easy to setup and keep together. Occasionally the engine derails at one of the track switches, but mostly they work alright. I would imagine kids would love this - the kid in me does.

Probably the worst train I've ever bought. Doesn't stay on the track at all. My son loves the steam but we have turned it off an he's just pushing it around the track manually because it derails after every 10 seconds. The remote makes zero sense and you have to use little ties to connect the track together, which doubles the amount of time it takes to build it. I absolutely hate it.

Grandson loved this train set.

Got it for my 5 year old for Christmas, remote stopped working less than a week after Christmas. They shipped me a new one which took about a month. Won’t connect. Dont spend more than $20 on these cheap - no name electronic brands Update: the train isn’t super great quality- but the sent me two extra remotes and an engine to fix complaint- happy 5 year old- thanks!!!

El tren excelente funciona perfecto y sobre su realismo de sonido y vapor todo funciónaa perfectamente essi cargar la batería muy bien antes de uarse lo único que no me fusto el cobro x no pedir la música y me cobraron el iva y el envío ni hablar peeo lo demás muy bonito todo y muy rápida la entrega

Fue el regalo de día de reyes para mi papá, es enorme y muy bonito sin embargo en ocasiones se descarrila muy fácilmente
