There are plenty of filters and I just put a fresh one in when it starts to have the weird tap taste again. I've saved loads on bottled water. And when you finally run out of filters buy a new jug and 6 filters and start again. To add, the filter replacement indicator is a timer, it has no idea how much life is left in the filter. **Q: How full are you supposed to fill this jug?** A: Fill to the very top. It then filters down into the chamber below and is ready to poor. It only pour from bottom first. No spill at all. This is one of their largest jugs in volume which fits in the fridge. The jug probably doesn't have the feel and look of a proper premium jug. It's functional and doesn't steam up as much as a Wilko filter jug did. No leaks if the lid is properly set in place. The filter speed is fast compared to other filter jugs I've had in the past which is very useful. The filtered water taste is nice and clean. Not as pure as perhaps as more premium filter systems. But I don't mind as I don't like it when it is too filtered - it just becomes too tasteless. I've noticed deals on filters which probably - from my occasional obervations - would make the jug work out cheaper than the other other expensive brands.
