I was exited to get this and use it. Unfortunately it wasn't quite that simple. You cannot use the camera until you activate it in the app. The first time you connect to it you need to update the firmware. When I tried to do this it kept crashing, despite trying numerous times using both methods I'm left with a shiny and very expensive paperweight. Completely immature product, be prepared for a frustrating experience! Needless to say the paperweight is going to be returned for a refund

I have used various camcorders since they first became fashionable. I have also used a variety of proprietary video production software. The Insta 360 is by far and away the most difficult camera I have ever used or had to set up. The mobile App. and Desktop processing software I am also struggling with. Initially not happy with picture quality but this may improve as I get used to settings? The sound quality is very worrying. Very hit and miss for some reason? On occasion it just doesn't record sound?? Early days but am not thrilled with camera at the moment.!!

Great product only problem the lens you have be very careful once the are scratches can't be easily repaired and they are expensive I had my in my pocket with the cover lens and it accidentally come off got scratches with a coin in my pocket. i can understand why the insta360 x3 is advertised for extreme adventure but can easily get scratches in you pocket. And only repaired is though insta360 and it around £120 for one lens and you have to send it for week to repaired.
