Glas.tR EZ Fit Tempered Glass Compatible with iPhone 14 Pro Max, 2 Pieces, Scratch Resistant, 9H Screen Protector

I’ve always been quite skilled at applying screen protectors. I got a new iPhone 16 Plus and used my usual brand (yellow box) with a basic applicator tool. Despite my confidence, I ended up wasting all three protectors in the pack because the bubbles were so bad each time, plus there was room for error with the tool’s positioning and they came out a little wonky. On the third time I accepted the bubbles, and when I looked at my phone a couple of hours later, there was already a huge crack in the protector! No idea how as it was just sat on my MagSafe charger! After a bit of research I decided to go for this brand with the applicator. It’s applied flawlessly. Perfectly positioned, and not a bubble in sight. Well worth the extra cost if you’re particular about bubbles.

The best screen protectors on the market, the instructions and installation are very easy to follow and are fool proof.

Despite taking a lot of care, I’ve had my share of disasters in the past trying to fit a screen protector perfectly without air bubbles or a tiny speck of dust so I “um’d and ah’d” about buying this. In fact I was very tempted go to a shop and get a glass screen protector fitted ‘professionally’ - but in the event I’m glad I bought this. It’s actually really easy to fit if you follow the detailed instructions and/or the YouTube video. I’ve only just put it on my lovely new iPhone 17 so I can’t yet comment on it’s toughness or robustness but it looks perfect - not a bubble or a speck of dust in sight! To look at the phone you wouldn’t know there was a screen protector on it. I’ve used Spigen cases several times in the past so I was confident that it would be a quality product. And don’t worry - in the unlikely event that you somehow manage to mess up with the first one or it does get chipped or cracked - you get a second screen protector in box.

I installed this properly and still got a couple air bubbles. It is easy to install but still not foolproof. Fits the phone perfectly and hasn’t cracked on me yet. Doesn’t affect screen quality.

Only just fitted the protector and had use of the phone with it on for about an hour but I can honestly say that this was money WELL spent! Tactile and so easy to apply. My advice would be to follow the instruction card exactly and you will end up with a very pleasing result. TOP MARKS

SUMMARY: Definitely not as good as previous Spigen products. I upgraded to a 16 Pro from the 13 Pro and purchased the same type of Spigen case and this screen protector. The old screen protector on my 13 had rounded edges on the glass, which meant that not only was it less likely to get debris (there seems to be a sticky exposed edge on the sharp sides of this 16 pro screen protector and it scrapes up dust very easily!!) it also cracked a lot less often. Years of service without issue. FLAW: The sharp edge on the glass causes the screen protector to break even on light bumps, whereas the rounded edge of the 13 Pro protector was less likely to cause it to shatter. In 4 years I went through Two of the 13 Pro screen protectors, but after having the 16 Pro for 6 months I have gone through 4 of them already. Sharp corners on glass are very susceptible to even minor taps. Curved/rounded edges are always stronger. RESULTS: This is clearly a design defect. There is just enough space on the screen protector to add a bevel so that this doesnt happen. I have to keep buying new screen protectors now. My iPhone 13 protector lasted 2+ years. This one I'm Lucky to get 2 months.

I have nothing but a huge amount of respect with this companies screen protectors and cases. Although some cases have not been great when I first started using Spigen since they were not known as a good or well known make but this was the easiest to apply screen protector I’ve EVER USED!!! That’s insane. The quality of the perfect fit screen alignment and install procedure is unique. All I can say is view the installation video. Picture or videos from me won’t do it justice. In fact it was so intuitive that I didn’t need to see a video and this type of installation process just made sense. The quality of the screen is beautiful, absolutely no bubbles and crazy value for money since you get two of the alignment and installation frames which can be recycled. Will continue to buy their screen protectors and cases for the forceable future. Screen is incredibly responsive and FaceID works just as well as ever. Oddly compared to other brands it’s as if I can even see the screen edges of the protect. Another plus! Oh and that the oleophobic coating is better.

Having dropped my iPhone 16 Pro onto my Nord keyboard this morning, I was relieved that the screen protector took the shock of hitting the projecting pitch bend stick and despite breaking quite badly, my iPhone screen was untouched and without a mark. I immediately needed to order a new protector and this Spigen Glas.tR EZ fit seemed a good choice. At £18 it is on the expensive side but you do get 2 protectors, easy application frames, cleaning wipes, dust removal stickers, a squeegee tool and microfibre cloth. Just as well as I ended up having to use both. Following the instructions carefully I thoroughly cleaned my phone screen with the wet wipe included, dried it with the rather small microfibre cloth and ensured there was no dust present. The packing foam around the included squeegee provided a handy spacer pad to accommodate the camera bump when resting the phone on a flat table with the cameras facing down. I immediately pealed off the backing paper of the screen protector inside the applicator frame and lowered it over the phone screen. After applying pressure in the necessary places as indicated and waiting 30 seconds, I lifted off the applicator and peeled off the remaining protector film. Despite my best efforts I ended up with a few small dust specks that create bubbles under the protector. The squeegee wouldn’t fix them so I managed to peel up the protector at the edge and use the dust removal sticker to clean the specks off. Unfortunately in doing that the protector came off and I spent quite some time trying to realign it manually by eye. This resulted in more dust and marks, so I ended up starting again with the second protector. Things went a bit better with the second one, but again dust bubbles! Eventually with patience and more luck I ended up with a perfect fit and no bubbles or trapped dust. However that meant I needed to use both protectors. The end result looks excellent although the protector is quite a bit smaller than the screen so leaves about a 1mm gap of exposed screen glass. That said once a case is fitted it looks ok and should provide full protection. It also ensures the protector isn’t overhanging the bevelled edges of the iPhone glass. It feels very smooth though and you wouldn’t know there was a protector without very close inspection of the edges. Image quality is the same as without the protector. In summary I’m a bit miffed having to use both protectors. Dust and bubbles are still a huge challenge when it comes to screen protectors. The applicator frame helps with alignment but won’t eliminate dust. That said £18 is a small price to pay compared to a replacement iPhone screen.
