Installation/Use: The included batteries were easy to install. The panel on the back slides off and the included batteries popped right in. Turning the dial powers the unit on. I tested several of the functions, and the device is simple to use. Dislikes: Accuracy of AC current measurements. Likes: Digital display. AC current. AC/DC voltage. Resistance. Frequency. Accuracy of voltage measurements.. Improvements: Improved accuracy of AC current measurements.. Rundown: The unit is compact and comes with many useful attachments, modes, and features, including the convenient carrying case. I tested several of the different modes, including AC current, AC/DC voltage, AC/DC resistance, and frequency. The AC/DC voltage, AC/DC resistance, and frequency measurements all correlate very high with the control. I did notice that the AC current measurements were reading low, between 10% and 20% when compared to the control. I am really pleased with everything that you get with this purchase. I think that my new ANENG digital clamp multimeter is my new go to tool for testing audio, electronics, and electricity. My-Star Criteria 1-Star. This product is broken or does not work. Items will be returned or discarded. I do NOT recommend it. 2-Stars. This product works but does not get the job done. It is not worth it and I will have to use another item. I would probably not recommend this item. 3-Stars. The product works and gets the job done. I will use it occasionally and would recommend it, but there’s definitely better out there. 4-Stars.The product works well and gets the job done well. I will use this frequently and recommend it to those looking at similar products, but there may still be something better out there. 5-Stars. The product works amazing and is superior at getting the job done. I will use this as my go to, and highly recommend it. This item is a great value that’s hard to beat.

Great item for the price. Quickly identified that my AC capacitor was out of speck which resulted in not enough voltage to start the compressor. I was able to order the capacitor from Amazon for about $17 and once installed the AC worked fine. By my using this item, I saved a service call that would have cost me several hundred dollars. Wouldn't be without one in my tool box. Paid for itself several time over in just in one use.

Unit is easy to use. The screen is easy to read. Usage instructions could be better.

Great product for the price however the wires are very cheap, the prop ends the separate from the connection, I had to solder it once , and broke again. So be gentle with the wires

The meter itself seems to be made of relatively heavy-gauge plastic (for the price), feels solid, and the readings were stable. The assortment of test leads/tips are extremely useful (as opposed to basic probes). I didn't expect much for around $20 but was pleasantly surprised. I bought it to help track down where 200 watts of base load was going and was able to quickly measure the current draw on each of my breakers. I had calculated the circuit with 8 hardwired smoke detectors should have been using around 48W which was pretty close to the measured 0.43A x 120V = 50.5W. That gave me confidence in the measurements for my hobbyist purposes. Remember that any clamp meter of this type is going to overestimate power if there is a device with a significant reactive load (like a motor) running on the circuit. If you want to check an individual device, use an energy monitoring plug which will correctly calculate real power (the watts you're paying for) since it can accurately determine the power factor by simultaneously taking measurements related to voltage.

Although it works in most situations I tried it, it is somewhat cheaply made. The unit itself changes range automatically so it is difficult to determine 1 volt or 10 volts or .1 volt. The cables supplied, while numerous, are also hastily assembled and the clamp fell off one the first time I used it. The cable variety is handy as they can clamp one, for negative, and probe a point for positive. Case is too small to enclose all the cables and put it away. Spend a little more and buy better.
