This mortar and pestle set is a heavy duty, durable product that busy cooks or chefs will love. It’s heavy enough to stay in place when using but it can easily be moved or washed. I was pleasantly surprised by the weight and thickness of this. For the price I was expecting something thin and cheap. Well made and sturdy. The only worry I have is dropping it on my foot.

Good mortar and pestle. The instructions were clear on seasoning, and it's been great from doing everything from grinding spices to making molcajeteada. I have bought some of these for my friends and family as well. The stone is beautiful too, and it looks nice on my kitchen counter.

I bought this almost 2 years ago and I’ve really loved this product. I was a little skeptical because I hate buying things sight unseen and I have a hard time maintaining my cast iron cookware so I was afraid this was a disaster waiting to happen. But I’m pleasantly surprised that it has been so easy to clean and maintain. Makes delicious guac - also great for spices. I highly recommend this. It is heavy, but that’s because it’s great quality.

Huge! Works really well for larger volumes. Careful doing the initial preparation of the stone - managed to file down the skin on my finger tips!
