Versatile, compact, flashlight
This is probably one of the best EDC flashlights Iโve ever owned. Each mode is used on a regular basis. I just got back from a business trip and it handled everything I needed. I normally use the UV light to charge the loom in any watches Iโm wearing when in a dark place. The magnetic attachments are also fantastic. It lets me use the flashlight as a lantern of sorts a multiple cramp spaces. I use it while cleaning inside of a PC as well as while jumping a car at night. The brightness is great, itโs lightweight, and the USB type C charger port means I only need to bring one cord when traveling. I highly recommend giving this flashlight to try.

Someone's information is not right or there are more generations. The devil is in the details.
REVIEW UPDATE: The seller got in touch with me and sent the updated (current gen) flashlight! It now works exactly as expected! I assume that the seller has updated this listing to be more accurate, or they now have the latest model in stock, but you can buy with confidence that the seller will work with you to make things right if you don't buy what you expect! The only thing I have to add is that the flashlight's button is harder to press, I kinda have to use the tip of my finger or fingernail to press it but I've been told that was intentional to keep the rubber from falling off. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OLD REVIEW: Before purchasing this light, I looked up 3rd generation Rovyvon Aurora A5 and I came across the manufacturer's website which clearly details the operation of this flashlight. It states that you click 5 times to lock the flashlight, and 5 times to unlock the flashlight. The included manual (and operation) of the light I received does not say this. In fact it does have a lockout feature but it is activated by holding the button for 5 seconds to lock, and 3 seconds to unlock. This is not desirable to me as like the A8 operation description on their website, I believe momentary on should happen by simply holding the button (even though it is not stated). Anyway, enough complaints aside, let's compare it to 1st and 2nd generation Auroras with sidelights! New features in Gen 3: - Lockout: Not what I expected per rovyvon's website, but better than nothing. I will probably return this light and re-order from rovyvon's website though. - Magnetic clip: Significantly beefier than the Gen 2 Auroras. Works really good! Less sexy than the Gen 1 and Gen 2 clips, but way more functional IMO. - Magnetic tail: Not sure I agree with making it a separate detachable piece. I love that it's decently strong. Attaches itself to a piece of sheet steel horizontally pretty well! - USB C: Welcome addition over USB Micro Comparisons from Gen 2: - Brightness: The primary LED in my A5 is slightly brighter than the LED in my A5 7075 Gen 2. - Side LEDs: Gen 2 seems slightly brighter, the stats seem to back it up - Moonlight: Gen 2 seems brighter, numbers back it up. I actually prefer the dimmer 0.5lm of the Gen 3 - Momentary On: Being able to hold down the button to get momentary on is extremely desirable to me. I may return the Gen 3 because it omits this feature. -Button: Easier to push than Gen2. Surface feels larger? closer to the top? Easier to accidentally turn on, but also easier to use. Comparisons from Gen 1: - Glow in the dark (GITD): A5 model's trademark feature. Gen 3's case is actually clear enough that UV can get through to check bills in my experience, vs Gen 1's body was so saturated with glow particles that this was not possible. The Gen 3 manual says the UV light is only used to charge the body, but for me, it can pull double duty. HOWEVER, I purchased an A8 for that purpose. The original Gen1 body glows significantly brighter (due to higher concentration of glow particles) and it feels like it glows longer (because of the higher concentration is easier to spot after longer periods). Both last significantly longer than the Nitecore Tiki. I would still reccomend the Gen1 if high quality glow in the dark body was a feature you desired. - Momentary On: Being able to hold down the button to get momentary on is extremely desirable to me. I may return the Gen 3 because it omits this feature. - Button: Button is smaller but just as easy to press and use in my opinion. Conclusion: A nice upgrade over the Gen 1 (so long as you don't care about glow in the dark brightness or momentary on. A sideways upgrade over the Gen 2. Magnet and beefier clip is a welcome addition and USB-C is perfect. Loss of momentary on is a bit of a dealbreaker though.

Unbeatable Cost/Performance Ratio
Unbeatable CP value! Bright, versatile, tough, rechargable, oh, and did I mention BRIGHT! My wife thinks Im a nerd for wearing it on my hat, but I cant even count the number of times it has come in handy since I got it. Love the features like the reading side lights, and glow in the dark body.

Fantastic gift for you or your team of gadget enthusiasts.
Bought this for my field tech team for Christmas. It was a hit. Very well built and lots of options. If you're looking to just have it on a keychain, and need to look at something close or up in a ceiling, this is perfect. And the price is very affordable if you ask me. They're light, and the color is glow in the dark. Very small too for all it's functions.

Tiny, powerful, many useful features
I have used the RovyVon Aurora A5-G4 for six weeks now. It is tiny but very powerful and weighs just 22g/.8oz. The front light is a spot that is shaped just right. On low power setting it is supposed to last about seven hours and has a throw of approximately 22โ. I find this setting extremely useful, enough light to see well but not blinding. The side LEDs work as a flood light an do have a nice ambiance. With the included clip I can attach the light to the brim of my hat and use as a headlamp which makes this a superb lighting tool for hiking. The two higher settings really light up the world ahead with good throw to reach out there. Itโs small and lightweight enough that I donโt know itโs with me but performs so well for my needs that if I lost it Iโd quickly replace it with the same model.

Best flashlight for the size period
For the flashlight that's the same size or smaller than a tube of chap stick it's incredible. 650 lumens is amazing. It has a 330mAh battery. You have the power of a full sized flashlight in a tiny size that you can keep on your keychain. I always have a least one no matter what and it has saved me so many times in the most random situations. The only thing is that if you need to use the full power mode it will get hot after a minute or two because they put an led and battery etc to power it in a package that small so it's an unavoidable side effect. Still worth it. I have given them to my now wife, brother, parents, nieces and nephews, etc because they are so useful and can be a huge help for safety in the right situation. I prefer the versions with lights on the side for when you need less light and that are glow in the dark because sometimes it helps to find them in the right situation.

Perfect for hiking and camping. It is tiny!!
This is a fantastic product. It is tiny and as bright as you want it to beโฆwith several settings. I use it instead of a head torch using the clip to attach it to my cap. Then it is also handy as a hand torch around camp. Perfect

Incredible strong and compact light!
Came across this light on a YouTube video for ultra light hiking equipment. This light defies expectation! It is so bright, so compact, the light it throws out as a torch is everything you could need, but then you also have the lantern feature. The pen clip and top ring are also magnetic, so you can stick either sideways or lengthways to surfaces, or the pen clip can attach to a cap brim or clothing. With some light, the body also glows in the dark once the light is off. This is a small and might game changer and has become a regular part of our hiking kit.

RovyVon A5. The body glowing is just gimmick; it doesn't last for long.
I think I received the 6500K SST version since I can see some white PCB of the LED with some black lines. When charging, side lights and UV are available but only "moon" and low for the primary light is available and long pressing is the same as double clicking. The Type C port pulls down the CC pin properly. Came with the "memory" set to high; initially I didn't realise you can leave it on for 3 minutes to change the memory setting, I thought the manual meant it only retains memory for 3 minutes. If you single press after 3 minutes, it doesn't change the mode, but turns the primary off (and saves it as the new default). The side light default mode can't be changed. It's very bright; just turning it on on high mode when looking at close up stuff (not directly looking at LED) made some temporary black areas in my sight. I heard it can burn your finger, so I held my finger in front of it for just a moment and I could pretty much instantly feel the heat. The UV is good enough to see the hidden year on the new Australian notes with the transparent middle and make the serial shiny on the older notes. It's also good enough for some old stains on the carpet to fluoresce. The green glow from the body slightly interferes with detecting the fluorescence of bodily fluids as they're a similar colour. The body doesn't glow strongly for long even after charging for a couple of minutes in good sunlight. There are only 3 groves behind the button for the clip to sit securely. The clip can't really sit on the side; it would easily to fall off in your pocket or bag. There's no position for it to be in so you can press the clip which will then press the button. Magnets are of ok strength, it's strong enough to hold it horizontal. The hole is 3 mm by 7 mm wide. The smaller key ring is 2.07 mm thick, 12 mm Inner Diameter and 14.7 mm Outer diameter and the larger key ring is 2.47 mm thick, 16 mm ID and 19.8 OD. I weighed the light by itself at 18.0 grams, clip at 4.4 g, rear magnet at 0.9 g, smaller keyring 0.7 g, larger keyring 2.1 g. The glowing body is interesting, but it just doesn't last long enough at a useful brightness. I think I'll buy the A8 version next time.

The one I use the most
I have a few torches but I find this tiny one the most useful. While no bigger than your little finger it still manages to put out a bright light which will light up your front yard really well, but I find the side light very useful when I'm out late at night while walking my dog. Simply excellent all around.
