This is a true children's classic from Golden Books. The beautiful Christmas story, just for young children with beautiful illustrations. The original writing was 1952 and revised in 1980. A special book ....thank you.

🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 Five Christmas Blessings Rating! I purchased The Christmas Story for my granddaughter and grandson. It was a favorite of mine as a young child. The full color illustrations are angelic and tell the story of Jesus's birth. It's the biblical version of the meaning of Christmas. I highly recommend this classic story that is a short and sweet depiction of the reason for the Christmas season. So happy to have this story reprinted to carry on a tradition for future generations to enjoy.

Sweet way to share the true Christmas story with little children

I originally got a board book about the birth of Jesus but it didn’t give enough information and was confusing I found this one and it was perfect! The story was easy to be understood by my 3 year old I would 100% recommend this book

Very cute. Brought back good old nostalgic Christmas memories I am planning on passing down to my son.

Modern things have been greatly cheapened compared to our Christmas stories when I was two and three years old, although it is recommended for anyone, and at age 70 I still enjoy it! The artwork is wonderfully beautiful, and the text is pretty much straight out of the King James or ESV Bibles. So that if you remember what line of said during a Charlie Brown Christmas, you will recognize the quotes from Luke 2 here. Story is timeless, there are no jarring moments, they even go so far as to show the wise men finding the young Jesus in a house, not at the manger scene, which is true to the text and also makes sense if you consider how long it took to travel across hundreds or thousands of miles of desert on camels in those days. From the text we may surmise that the visit of the wise men could have taken place up to 2 years after the birth.

Dei 5 estrelas porque as ilustrações são bonitas e o texto é bom para quem já lê em inglês para os filhos. MAS, falta capricho na edição, que é quase artesanal. Parece que alguém imprimiu "do original" e montou o livro, que veio solto em uma caixa sem nenhuma embalagem de proteção. Em fim, eu ainda recomendo o produto, mas, definitivamente não vale R$ 30,00. Há melhores nessa faixa de preço e abaixo.
