WONDERFUL!
I was skeptical at first, but this is a dream solution to making any beverage at home ICE cold. As of yet, I have used this for making ice coffee and chilling spirits. It works in under a minute. There is no need for additional ice, and NO dilution. No one enjoys watered down ice coffee, this pitcher ensures you never have to deal with that again. This is akin to any device you didn't know you needed, until you have it, and then can't live without it. I will absolutely be purchasing several more as gifts for friends and family. WONDERFUL!

You see the reviews? But have you seen a review from someone in Seattle area?
iced aeropress, japanese iced pour over, iced chemex, and even cold brew (ew). i tried all of these but coldwave is by far the easiest, tastiest and consistent iced coffee you can make. I'm not saying I know about coffee better than you because i'm from seattle. but im just saying. i'm from seattle. but again, there was this pizza place in phinney ridge in seattle area that claimed to be best chicago style pizza because he's from chicago. it was horrible and they are closed now. but i aint like that. anyways, coldwave is so easy to use and i guess you dont have to use it just for coffee. i can imagine using this for tea, room temperature coke, or super cold milk! (i gotta try that). Highly recommend for iced coffee

Works well.
Makes excellent iced coffee. Quick and easy. Easily cleaned by rinsing and drying and returning to the freezer for the next day. Only issue is that it’s small and only makes enough for two cups. Should come out with a larger size although that would take up more space in your freezer.

You Won't Believe How Great "THE COLDWAVE" Works & How Great Cold Drinks Will Taste!!
What a great and very convenient invention!! I can quickly, easily & simply fix my ice tea & Ice coffees with no hassles or mess. Best of all the taste is not diluted by having to use ice to cool my drinks down and with it being summer here in hot, hot and very hot sunny South Florida I'm using it daily for my "Sun Tea" which tastes even better by using my new Coldwave. Heard about the Coldwave from a neighbor and couldn't believe my eyes and tastebuds when I saw & tasted what it did. Not only is it useful & compact but I'm thrilled it isn't one more item I have to have out on my counter top taking pace in my small kitchen. The Coldwave is a great pricepoint for birthday & holiday gifts!!

UNSAFE and poorly made
This product was fantastic for the first few uses. It works great. Unfortunately, after about a month some of the columns darkened. I use it only for coffee, so that means coffee has gotten into the columns. And if coffee has gotten in, then whatever chemicals were originally inside have gotten out, into my coffee. The columns are also not well-aligned to the base, so some of the openings on the bottoms of the columns have been exposed over time. It's also super difficult (impossible) to clean. If the product was manufactured better so that the columns were perfectly sealed off with 0 chance of leaking, this would be my go-to coffee chiller for the rest of my life. But with the mystery chemical leaks, it's going into the trash.

Useful to offset running out of ice during these COVID times
Now that we are all at home, we keep running out of ice. So we tried this pitcher out. Gives a very satisfying crack when you plunge it into your beverage and makes it nice and cold (esp. if not going for extreme hot to cold although it will do that, too). There are some suggested improvements I’d make for version 2.0: A more clear fill line (or leave on the sticker), a holder for in the freezer bc we couldn’t store the whole pitcher in the refrigerator without it sticking together, and perhaps slightly shorter but wider do that it fits in our top dishwasher rack so we don’t have to hand wash. It’s useful in these COVID times.

Maybe my expectations were off?
I'm not sure if my expectations were unrealistic, but I expected this to take my hot brewed coffee and make it really cold. It doesn't. The directions say to leave the drink in for "under 2 minutes" but after leaving it in for 3 minutes it only makes my coffee a bit coolish. I still have to put my coffee in the freezer for 10 minutes and add ice into it to make it as nice and cold. Also since coffee has oils in it, rinsing in between the pillars isn't going to be enough after a while so I think the company should say whether it's safe to use certain coffee cleaning products on it like soaking it in "Deep Clean" coffee cleaner or something else. Based on my experience it would work fine if you just like your drinks slightly chilled, but if you want your drinks Cold, it's probably not worth it. I also have a zoku iced coffee maker- which is just a travel tumber that has a freezable body. It works better than the coldwave imo AND doubles as a travel tumbler. Just put the top on and wait a few minutes or actively swirl it around if you want it colder even faster. It works so well I often have to keep the top off to keep the coffee inside from freezing solid. You can also use it to make simple ice creams and slushies. Might as well stick with that.

Worth the money
Love this thing! I can enjoy iced coffee in minutes without having to dilute down my coffee with too many ice cubes. You will love to hear that crackling sound when you add the freezer component to your hot beverage. Will admit, that the freeze part can be a little bulky, but stores easily sideways. You don't store the pitcher part in the freezer. The freezer part will make everything cold. By the time I get dressed after throwing in my coffee, I have iced cold coffee to go! My new favorite kitchen tool. Can make up to 2 cold beverages with each use.
