Kicker for Dodge Ram Crew Cab 2012 & up Speaker Bundle- 2-Pairs of CS 6x9 Speakers, & a Pair of CS 3.5" Speakers

Easy installation, good quality sound!

Absolutely transforms your audio! 2017 Ram1500 CrewCab. Uconnect 5.0, RA-2 head unit. Amazing difference in sound and it will make the OEM speakers sound like trash. Great value for the money. Be advised that this KIT is not just swap em out and done. Read below or you will be very disappointed. Install Must Haves: 1. Buy Metra speaker harnesses. You will need 2 Metra 72-7902 (3.5” Dash) and 4 Metra 72-6514 (6x9’s). These connect the speaker to your factory connectors. Clean install, no splicing. Clips in like stock. 2. You WILL absolutely need 6x9 spacers for the front doors. No question about it. Kickers magnet hits the window regulator arm. I used a 1/4” spacer then used plastic to make mine about 3/8”. 1/2” is too big, makes it really difficult to get the door panel back on flush. Requires a little backyard ingenuity or if you are fortunate enough to have access to a 3D printer. Use silicone/RTV to seal the spacer against the door. No clearance issues on rear doors, plenty of room. 3. Pay attention to this, most importantly!!!. The OEM 3.5” dash speakers are 8ohm speakers. The Kicker 3.5” are 4ohm. You need to add a resistor. If you do not, your dash speakers will overpower everything with highs and make your ears bleed making you realize your audio system is worse than stock. Here is how to fix it: Purchase 10watt 4ohm resistors. Little white ceramic “brick” with a lead on each end. Splice/solder/heatshrink this into the Positive wire on both of the Metra 72-7902 harnesses. The positive lead has the wider speaker blade connector. Just cut a section out of the wire and install this in the gap of both harnesses. Now you have an 8ohm speaker again as designed. Crank it up and ENJOY!!! Until you realize a powered hideaway subwoofer behind the rear seat would complete the audio! Haha, happened to me! Sounds amazing though! Better than stock Alpine.

So far I like them. They are still new and I'm currently running the factory radio off them. Soon I will be running an amp, so we'll see how they handle it. You WILL need ⅜" spacers for the front speakers. I found 3D printed ones on Amazon for cheap and they worked great. Also, like everyone else commented on their reviews, get the proper plugs..it makes install a breeze. My biggest gripe is the screws. They are very cheap and strip easily. Reason for 4 stars instead of 5.. Right now I'm only running probably 15-20 watts RMS from factory radio (non-alpine). I have an amp that will push 100 watts RMS for each speaker (except the tweeters). I'll update after I get the amp installed. Also, note these are 4ohm speakers and the factory I believe are 8ohm. The front tweeter on non alpine system is tied into the front 6x9s from everything I read. Since I'm using an amp I'm running all my wires separately.

Installed these in a 2019 Ram and Whoa! What an improvement over the stock speakers. Easy to install all 6 speakers and they all fit with no need for any spacers. I recommend getting the quickly connect adapter so you install is literally plug and play! Great YouTube videos on how to install in 2019 Ram. I’m fairly certain the install is similar for multiple years of Ram trucks.

Great product, clean sound for normal use. Installed in my ram 1500. I did use spacers for the front doors to avoid the window rail. I also recommend using the wiring harness to make factory connection easier. No splicing needed when you use Nulth 72-6514 and Red Wolf front dash tweeter aftermarket to factory harness connectors.
