Using it to track when to change my whole house water filter.
The DAE AS200U-75P has proven to be an invaluable tool for monitoring and determining the optimal time to change my whole house water filter. With its user-friendly interface and reliable performance, this device simplifies the process of tracking the condition of the filter. By providing accurate measurements and clear indications, it helps me ensure that my water filtration system is operating at its best and that I'm getting clean and safe water throughout my home. Since it is my first set of filters, I have to see what happens at around 10K gallons of water. I can better gauge on when my next change should be.

Great sub meter with pulse counter feature.
My plumber installed this on a back unit I own. It works well and I love the pulse counter feature that allows me to read the usage via separate display (sold separately). I still have to go out to the property but it is a great low cost option that was one of the main reasons I purchased this product.

Replacement
I had to replace the same model I had. The good news is that it fit and was easy to replace the old one. The bad news is that I had to replace the old meter after about 5 years. It should be noted that the old meter was in an outdoor, high sun location and was made of plastic, so it may not have been the best choice for the location.

Using this with an ESP8266 running ESPhome piping data into HomeAssistant
The price is great for what you get and so far I am very happy with the purchase. I know that DAE wants to make cash by selling a complete system but for home use it's not such a great deal. However I have been able to interface with an ESP8266 running ESPhome. So far it just works and I get to see my water use in real time and verify by taking a look at the meter directly plus I no longer have to go out to the curb and lift a cover to see what my water usage is on a daily/weekly/whatever else basis. And since this meter does have the ability to be certified if there is ever a discrepancy between my utility bill and what I show to have used I can use it to prove I have not used as much water as I am being charged for. For those interested in using ESPhome with this you will need a 10K pull up resistor installed on one leg of the wire lead for things to work properly then you simply short to ground for the count to work. The code I used for the sensor is included below and should work to get you up and running. - platform: pulse_counter pin: number: GPIO14 inverted: true mode: input: true pullup: true name: "${disp_name} Flow" unit_of_measurement: "gal/min" icon: "mdi:water" update_interval: 15s accuracy_decimals: 0 internal_filter: 400ms count_mode: rising_edge: DISABLE falling_edge: INCREMENT filters: - lambda: return (x); total: name: "Total Water Consumption" unit_of_measurement: "gal" device_class: water state_class: total_increasing accuracy_decimals: 0 icon: "mdi:faucet"

They look really nice. They work great.
They also work without a monitor. Also I ordered a 3/4 inch and received a one inch. I had a problem with the readouts. I emailed the company. They answered promptly and did not stop until the perceived problem was completely solved. I am totally pleased.

Esphome 8266 best friend
Was able to run it with esphome by using a wemos d1 mini, just attach one cable to ground pin and ine to d5(gpio14), no resistor needed, code does that internally for you. Home assistant sees it right away and runs like a charm with this code: sensor: - platform: pulse_counter pin: number: GPIO14 inverted: true mode: input: true pullup: true name: "${upper_devicename} Flow" unit_of_measurement: "gal/min" icon: "mdi:water" update_interval: 15s accuracy_decimals: 0 internal_filter: 400ms count_mode: rising_edge: DISABLE falling_edge: INCREMENT filters: - lambda: return (x); total: name: "Total Water Consumption" unit_of_measurement: "gal" device_class: water state_class: total_increasing accuracy_decimals: 0 icon: "mdi:faucet"

Excellent!
Wanted to count US Gallons used in the house without having to go outside and read the underground City meter. My town charges for over consumption. I've been monitoring for 13 years... at the outdoor meter. This does the trick. So simple to install. No real need for the very expensive iPhone capability unless it is important to you. If you wish, the new unit displays to a remote counter through a small 2 conductor wire to wherever you like. It displays ACCURATELY how many gallons have passed through the water meter. The Amazon DAE CO-10 Electronic Pulse Counter or any other Pulse counter will work with this. I already had a tiny EKM Metering remote. It registers the gallons perfectly Really, you do not need to use the remote function. The display at the meter is clear and easy to read. No external power required. Just follow instructions that warn that the unit MUST be installed horizontally with the face up. Thank You DAE for such an amazing meter at a great price.
