Has FTP and all standard streams. Works with VLC.
Quite the amazing little camera. Much more sturdy than I expected at the price and the features are amazing. It will even FTP files to a local server for storage. Captures the full front yard in great detail. Many options for local streaming, even VLC supports it. Well worth the price.

Amazing Camera
This camera is amazing. Perfectly captures my entire house in great resolution. The only downside is the night capture can be a little rough as well as frequent alerts during heavy snows. The app can have some defects and bugs as well but overall this is the best option to capture a wide range of space without the mechanical issues that can happen with a camera that relies on tracking via rotating/tilt. Additionally, the ability to store video ONLY locally is vastly underrated and ReoLink not requiring a subscription while still offering a full camera settings suite is hard to come by in other cameras.

No cost for video recording, quality product great new app.
The camera works great and the phone app is very easy to use and reliable, the desktop app used to be a bit finnicky but the latest version 8.18.12 works very well. The old app it was difficult to download recordings, the new version makes it simple. One of the biggest pluses of the camera is the local storage I have a 128GB card installed and that is where my recordings are all located. The notifications all work well, car, person or animal and it usually gets them correct. In the playback it has a little icon for each so if I am searching for video it makes it easier to find. I just purchased a new camera as the one I purchased 2 years ago will be included with the sale of my current house. For the money I do not think you can buy a better fixed camera, running for 2 years with snow, rain, sun and hail have all proved no match for the camera, One night the camera caught someone breaking into a car that had been parked across the street. When i realized the car had been broken into I went to look at the camera recordings and sure enough it was there. What I found amazing is the audio quality of the recording you can hear the person pounding on the glass from the other side of the car. The video quality was better but I had to reduce the quality due to the size.

A VERY SPECIAL CAMERA AT A GREAT PRICE
The Duo 2 WiFi currently stands alone and above it's competition because of the price point, performance and features. When you need 180 degree coverage and are forced to use WiFi which I try to avoid the camera really comes thru and get's it done. I've purchased and returned a couple of Reolink models but this one is a keeper along with my stable of Trackmix Cameras. The installation is easy.... the WiFi performance is very good and the coverage and video quality are excellent. I use a splitter in a POE scenario FYI but for location testing the WiFi is super handy and worked very well. I run this camera in Blue Iris and Agent DVR with no issues. Night vision is decent (The Achilles Heel of Reolink Cameras BTW) but overall when you take into account all of the features, performance and price (using coupons or a sale) the Duo stands alone in this category as the camera to go with. Don't forget to purchase the Asurion warranty with any of these cams.... Good Luck

Loses connection, TERRIBLE customer support
I had high hopes for these cameras, but they have proven difficult to set up and unreliable. For initial set up, you actually have to connect via network cable to your router and install an app on your computer, very time-consuming and inconvenient. Once I did that I was able to connect via Wi-Fi and I had the camera set up in my house for several days and it worked great. I mounted the camera outside on the front of my house and it worked for a few hours. It lost connection and I was never able to reconnect. I brought the camera back inside and spent over an hour with a customer service rep on chat. Before a solution was found I got disconnected and couldnโt get back on chat. I tried calling customer support during the listed hours of operation and it said that they were unavailable, and advised to go check the FAQ page.

Current favorite security cameras, I have 3 of them
I would say these are a more advanced security camera than the average product. To get this out of the way, I would only recommend these for the intermediate or higher user, not a beginner. Because of setup, options, operations, I would only say this is for the user that has at least a little technical ability and experience. I've seen a lot of people on the reviews have issues with setup and other things, this is purely because they are a beginner. So now that's out of the way.. This is the best brand I've seen for what I was looking for in a security camera. This makes nest, ring and all the other popular camera look like amateur hour. The only thing I can say I would change on these is adding activity zones and allowing an easier way to change the wifi ssid in case things go wrong or something was incorrectly typed. The biggest negative of this type of camera is the wifi setup, not because it's hard or anything, but because for initial setup and if something goes wrong with the wifi password, you must hook it back up to ethernet and reconfigure it once again. This is one of my main reasons also to not recommend this to beginners. This is actually a security feature to prevent your camera system from being compromised, it is an advanced feature, but it makes it harder to reconfigure if you are not able to change wifi from the app. Regardless of this downfall, this is my favorite camera series, the duo line. I have two duo floodlights and then this duo wifi. It is weatherproof, it does shed rain. I saw that reolink has even said that these might be able to operate in -25f degree conditions because the camera itself produces heat. The official temp range of the camera is about 14f+. A bit too low for canadians or people higher up on the latitude, but let's just hope reolink was accurate in saying -25f is possible. For setup you simply just have to follow instructions. Unfold the paper, lay it out and read over it. Then read over it again until it makes sense to you. Just take it slow snd you will be fine. It asks you to plug in the camera for both DC power and ethernet to the router. I highly suggest getting the home hub, especially if you have more than one camera. After plugging in the camera, the app will further guide you. It will ask for your wifi and then you will pretty much be done. You will see a video feed on the app and then I suggest creating a reolink account for the app. Again, app setup is not for beginners, it is not as easy as things like nest and ring cams. Nevertheless, after getting used to how reolink does things, I think the setup makes sense and works in some cases better than other cameras especially for multiple cams. Physical install is the easiest part, use a level and predrill holes. The viewing angle on these are the most attractive feature. It makes motion cams obsolete and insufficient. You can't go back to normal cameras after using 180deg dual cams. The software setup has all the features you would want and a lot of the settings are adjustable. Things like motion sensitivity, human sensitivity, animal, vehicle, etc all adjustable. Another complaint I saw in the reviews was false alarms. Well in the settings you can turn the sensitivity down so it doesn't become a problem. I don't think most people even dive into all the settings honestly. In my experience, false alarms are not a problem after proper configuration and this will take a little time. Just observe when there are false alarms and adjust the proper setting. Rinse and repeat until done. If you aren't patient or just don't want to deal with finely tuning this thing, don't buy it and don't give it an unnecessarily low review when this product is perfectly fine for the more technical crowd. The Ai does a good job of identifying what it needs to as long as you properly adjusted the settings to your specific environment and needs. It does come with a super long power cable, about 15ft, then you have a few feet for the plug. If it's too short still, it's time for sn extension plug. There are in depth reviews on this product widely available online. I suggest getting familiar with the setup and then the features, because this will show you what to expect and if this product is even a good fit for you. Again, do not buy this camera if you are a beginner, get fussy over technical setups, or have issues with patience. Highly recommended camera if it fits your needs and your skill level.

Great camera
The REOLINK 4K WiFi Security Camera with Ultra-Wide Angle is an impressive addition to the world of home security, delivering high-definition video quality and a broad field of view in a user-friendly package. Hereโs a detailed look at what this camera has to offer. Design & Build The REOLINK 4K WiFi Security Camera features a modern, sleek design that blends well with various home exteriors. Its compact and robust build ensures durability while maintaining a discreet profile. The cameraโs weatherproof casing makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, standing up well to the elements without compromising its performance. Performance The cameraโs 4K resolution delivers exceptionally clear and detailed footage, allowing you to capture every detail with stunning clarity. This high-definition quality is particularly beneficial for identifying faces, license plates, or any fine details within the cameraโs view. The ultra-wide-angle lens is a standout feature, offering a broad 122-degree field of view. This wide angle significantly reduces blind spots and ensures that a large area is covered with a single camera, which can be especially useful for monitoring large spaces or capturing expansive outdoor views. WiFi Connectivity The REOLINK 4K Cameraโs WiFi connectivity is reliable and straightforward to set up. The camera integrates seamlessly with the REOLINK app, which is available for both iOS and Android devices. The app provides real-time viewing, motion detection alerts, and easy access to recorded footage, making remote monitoring a breeze. While the WiFi connection generally provides stable performance, itโs worth noting that the quality of the signal can be affected by the distance from your router or any obstructions. For optimal performance, placing the camera within range of a strong WiFi signal is recommended. Features Night Vision: The camera is equipped with advanced infrared LEDs that offer impressive night vision capabilities. It provides clear images even in complete darkness, which is crucial for 24/7 surveillance. Two-Way Audio: The built-in microphone and speaker enable two-way communication, allowing you to listen and speak through the camera. This feature is particularly useful for interacting with visitors or deterring potential intruders. Motion Detection: The motion detection function is highly customizable, allowing you to set specific zones and sensitivity levels. Alerts are promptly sent to your phone whenever motion is detected, ensuring youโre always informed of any activity. Storage Options: The camera supports microSD cards (up to 128GB) for local storage, providing a cost-effective way to save footage without recurring fees. It also offers cloud storage options for those who prefer an off-site backup. Ease of Use Setting up the REOLINK 4K WiFi Security Camera is straightforward thanks to the intuitive app and clear instructions provided. The cameraโs user interface is easy to navigate, and features like live view, playback, and settings adjustments are accessible with just a few taps. Durability The cameraโs build quality is robust, with weatherproofing that ensures it can handle various environmental conditions. Its durable design makes it a reliable choice for long-term use, whether installed indoors or exposed to outdoor elements. Drawbacks While the REOLINK 4K WiFi Security Camera is a strong performer overall, it does have a few minor drawbacks: WiFi Dependence: The cameraโs performance is dependent on a stable WiFi connection. Users in areas with weak WiFi signals might experience connectivity issues. Limited PTZ Functionality: Unlike some other high-end security cameras, this model does not offer pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) capabilities, which can be a limitation if you need to cover multiple areas with a single camera.

Good camera, bad mounting
Writing this review after my 2nd Duo 2 failed for the same reason. There is an issue with the plastic mount and on both of my cameras they eventually failed on their own. I have video of both camera mounts just failing. The first mount lasted 3 days before it just cracked on itโs own and the camera ended up dangling by the wires. The 2nd replacement camera lasted over a week before the same exact mount cracking happened. I donโt know if this issue is with all Duo cameraโs or just the ones sold through Amazon, but there has to be other customers that experienced the same mount failing that I have. The second Duo was ordered two weeks after the first one failed as a replacement. As always the Amazon return process was easy but after having two cameraโs fail in a row I donโt want to waste any more of my time with this model from Reolink. The camera has a metal housing, and if they would have had a metal mount arm this would of never happened. The camera was mounted high under the garage roof and is covered from the elements. There wasnโt even any wind at the time both of these cameras failed. I believe that they just failed from the weight of the camera itself which is pretty hefty since itโs dual cameraโs in a metal housing. I have other Reolink cameras that I use at my property and they have been very reliable along with the ease of use of the app and client. Their bullet style and have a different mounting system and they have never failed even through the cold winters or hot summers. The 180 degree field of view is amazing and the main reason why I bought this camera. I wanted to be able to cover my entire garage and driveway with only one camera instead of two. The 4k resolution isnโt true 4k but itโs very close. The image stitching of both of the cameras are pretty good out of the box and not noticeable unless something comes up close to the camera where you can see the slight change in view as they pass from one camera to the other. As with all Reolink cameras Iโve had, the daytime performance is great but at nighttime it lacks. Even with the bit rate maxed there is still ghosting and noise in the video. If youโre expecting 4k video clarity at night youโll be dissapointed. AI detection is good during the day but has issues at night. You have to play with the AI sensitivity and object delay to minimize false alerts but at the same time it makes it so the camera will miss a lot of things it should be alerting you about. The worst issue I had was with the vehicle AI detection at night. With parked cars in my driveway it would alert even though the cars were parked and not in motion. Only way I could stop this was turning down the sensitivity and increasing the delay, but then during the day it wouldnโt alert when a vehicle pulled up unless you manually increased the sensitivity and lowered the delay. It even failed to alert on a large delivery truck that pulled into my driveway that parked right next to my garage. Doing this manually everyday gets tiring and there is no schedule for turning up/down AI detection or motion delay. The only schedule you can set is the sensitivity of the general motion detection. Person detection is good to excellent during the day and lacking at night. The camera will even distinguish a person riding on a lawnmower or ATV. It was able to accurately alert for a person detection at 50ft during the day. Nighttime is very different though where it has issues even close up to the camera. I tested this many times with all other lights in the area on and off. Sometimes it will register as a person but most of the time you get registered as a pet or not at all. So I ended up maxing out the sensitivity on all 3 AI detection and motion detection, having it record all motion and AI detection's and then turning off alerts for motion and only alerting for AI person/pet/vehicle so even if it failed to alert on something at least it would always record it as the general motion detection is the most reliable. The color video at night is more of a gimmick in my opinion. Itโs only good for things very close up and the spot light isnโt bright enough to make anything past 25ft show up in detail. You get allot more clarity/detail with just the IR along with not alerting people that you have a security camera there. The red IR ledโs are not very noticeable at night unless you are close to the camera and know where to look otherwise youโll not even know itโs there. I have no close neighbors and no other lights on in the area other than mine so if youโre next to people with other lights on maybe youโll get better results. Pet detection is also good during the day but lacking at night. Itโs able to detect our family dog running around the driveway and at night sometimes, but it does miss also at night. Birds and bugs will set off the pet detection especially at night. This doesnโt bother me as if youโve ever had security cameraโs you know how much of an issue bugs are at night with the IR. I upgraded the firmware on the camera with the Sep 2022 firmware update from Reolink. I still had the same issues with AI at night before/after the update. Live view loads up quickly and Iโve only had one time where it lagged a bit even though I was on my LAN. The WiFi version can just be connected with Ethernet also if you prefer or decide to do that later. Reolink doesnโt clearly state this. I never connected it to my NVR so canโt comment about that, or if it will work with POE with the Wifi version's Ethernet port. I watched every review video about the Duo 2 4k on Youtube that I could find before deciding to go with this camera, but none of those reviews actually give you a real world review of the camera by someone who has the camera for a period of time and actually uses it otherwise they would of brought up the same issues I had. I liked the camera even with the quirks with the AI and if the mount hadnโt failed two times in a row with two separate cameras I would of kept it and bought another. Iโm just going to look for something that has a more reliable mounting option and maybe get a PTZ camera to just cover everything since there is no other 180 degree FOV camera that looks interesting to me. Hope this review helps anyone interested in this camera and Reolink fixes the issue with the plastic mount if they haven't already. I thought about just rigging my own metal mount and keeping the camera because the FOV is so nice but for the price you pay for this camera you'd expect a simple mount to never fail and something like this to be caught by quality control.

Really great quality picture and app
Very cool camera this is my second reolink but not my last. The 180 deg view is superb the accuracy of the car animal and people is second to none. I replaced 2 cameras with one after one of my old non reolink cameras packed up out the front. Well worth the extra for great quality camera

Nice wide view. Had an issue and Reolink support were very helpful, sent me a new camera
The camera is great, I can see my whole backyard and a the side driveway with one camera. I had an issue with the wifi when I made some changes to the network - I could not reconnect via wifi, just ethernet. I contacted Reolink support and they had me ship my camera to them (I had to pay shipping, not a big deal though) and they shipped me a new one and it works perfect. Thank you Jack and Luis from Reolink support :)

Great camera, great value
Truly impressed with the quality of this camera. It's a solid design and build and you can feel the quality, nothing plastic here. Secondly, it is priced really well at ~$230 AUD. Another bonus is that it integrates in with my Home Assistant.
