I tested it with 3.7V and with 5V. Works very nice with both voltages. You need to play with the lens on the front (screw in/out) to adjust it to a fine thin line (or wider if you like).

I used the pair to make a focus and locating indicator for a laser cutter. They have good focus range and spot shape and sturdy well protected wire pigtails.

Focal threaded adjustment could be better with more friction

One of the lasers did not work. And the one that does work is not very bright.

They are VERY small but quite powerful. I am using them to make a laser guided drill press and so far it is working. an old 5volt phone charger supplies power.

Great concept, execution could be better. In order to focus the laser into a decent thickness, or rather thinness, the adjustment has to be about a half thread from falling off. Essentially this renders the lasers almost useless. If you manage to get it focused and stay assembled, the beam is strong and clear but it almost never stays together at that point.
