Great coffee

Taste Strength, Smoothness

I have been using Kava coffee for decades. I used to use it in lab classes when studying acids and bases. It proved to be acid-free. I began using it when my stomach acid became a medical problem. Now there is a decaf Kava which I use when evening cups are desired.

I started drinking espresso and gourmet drip coffee in elementary school. Sometimes I'd even drink espresso in my gourmet drip coffee. From expensive coffee houses near the beach. If it sounds like a coffee commercial, it should. Coffee houses were an integral part of life in the place I grew up. I thought hand made, freshly roasted espresso and hand stirred drip coffee was something that was common everywhere. But the world isn't a small town on the northern California coast. Turns out, the entire town was full of coffee snobs. I didn't know any better. I was just a kid. $15 dollar cups of coffee made from beans picked out of monkey poop. Water boiled to an exact temperature, no more, no less. Glass drip bars. My everyday coffee house had marble and steel floors with reclaimed barn wood doors. No signs outside, because signs were ugly and people were supposed to know where to go already. A grand piano next to the garden seating area, the aroma of marijuana and all things coffee. I thought it was normal. I was a coffee snob, and didn't even know it. Now I know better. This is the coffee I drink every day. It's instant, and it's acid reduced. It's really made an impact on the painful heartburn I used to get. Now that I'm drinking this, I can enjoy an occasional cuppa normal coffee. I can't say enough good things about this acid reduced product. I'm pretty sure it's allowed my stomach to heal. Thanks, Kava! No more waiting in line behind rastafarian hipsters. No more red lit coffee rooms in Victorian houses. No more macrobiotic menu options. That guy in yoga pants who smelled like patchouli and sandalwood? I don't even think about him any more. I haven't heard a live harp or sitar in years. Thanks again, Kava!

I really like this coffee. My stomach tolerates it well, it tastes great and it is very easy to dissolve (no clumps like some other instant coffees). I gave it a rating of 4 (instead of 5) only because it is a little pricey (but a 10-pack does save you a couple of dollars per jar). Because of how well my stomach tolerates Kava, I keep buying. The gastrointestinal comfort is worth a few extra bucks to me.
