These older iPad cords can be a crapshoot
I purchased a cord for my mom’s old iPad. That cord only worked for 24 hours. Amazon replaced it quickly and it’s been working fine. Likes: Length of longer cord; Amazon’s good replacement policy and process. Dislikes: Initially receiving a cord that didn’t last long. We’ve purchased 3 other cords from other places and those have stopped working after a while as we.

Just what you need!
It's nice to have charging cables in several places around your home.

Poor design, by Apple.
This cable, by its original design, is meant to wear out. It has a wide plug with small cable coming out of it, and at that point the cable insulation will break. Soon. No matter who makes it or how. It needs a strain relief; I use Shoe Goo, coating it on the cable and plug, so that the cable doesn't flex at the point it enters the plug. You'd think someone would have changed the design by now, but instead Apple has gone to using standard USB plugs on its newr models.

Buy with Amazon, never go wrong!
We needed this cord for our grt granddaughter to charge her IPAD, which is an outdated one, but good for her. Before we received the cord, we found one in Dollar General and it was more expensive but her mom purchased it Needless, the charging was very slow. Then ours came as it said on the day it was to arrive. I brought it over, and with pure delight, the cord charged just fine. Thank You Amazon. Quick delivery, cheaper, and works excellent.

Apple IPAD Model #A1395
I purchased the item twice. The first one fit but the cord was damage, coming apart. The second one I purchase (same cord) did not fit at all. I have been out of the county and just returned and passed the date that I was suppose to return it. Can I still return both cords for a replacement? I have an old Apple IPAD, Model # A1395. I purchased the cord because the old one does not work anymore.
