Review: The difference is real. Some care needed to install properly - The light is nice and lit the hallway much nicer than my old fixture which burnt out those small global bulbs every month. There are a few things to care for when installing. It took about 10 minutes from start to finish, and I offer these steps to help you do so too. 1. Have a separate light source so you can see what you are doing. 2. Make sure there is at least 4 inches of source black/white wiring to be able to work it in place 3. Do not use the 3 felt feet as it puts a space between the fixture and the ceiling and it wont catch the bracket. I removed the old fixture and pulled the black/white wires out as long as possible. I removed the wire cover from the new light, and the mounting plate too I then used the 2 screws that provided to attach the plate to the existing mounting bracket inside the existing fixture. Make sure the new bracket sits flush to the ceiling and doesn't creep into the hole, else the flanges do not stick out enough and won't catch on the light. I attached the new bracket and stuck the wires into the holes (Black = L, white = N). I gave them a tug to be sure they wont come out. ** While now hanging from the ceiling I tested the light. I then put the wire cover back on. I had to use a stubby screw driver since you have very little room to work, but it only took 10 turns or so to get it in. ** Once it's screwed on test the light again!!! Sometimes the wire may come out if you didn't push it in hard enough. Then I lifted the light over one of the bracket clips (I suggest the one that is "closest" to the ceiling hole). If the light cannot "catch" the first clip, then you need to loosen the screw a few turns to allow the bracket to be less flush to the ceiling. Once I got the bracket under one of the clips , I pulled the metal "bracket release" and lifted the other end of the light and push it against the ceiling with some force to ensure it's flat. I then let the catch release go and it grabbed the light... took a few times. The light was then holding nicely and I was done. People complain about the battery cover being hard to put back on. If the wire out of the ceiling is too short then simply put a longer dongle/wire and you should be fine. People also complain about the light not being able to grab the bracket... you cannot use the felt feet and you may have to not tighten the bracket too hard against the ceiling. All in all it took just some care and an extra try or two to get it mounted. A little more effort but for the price it was worth it.
Review: Looks amazing and easy to install. - As others have said, the installation was quite simple. I helped my husband with the install & I have to repeat what others have said. (Do not add the 3 bumpers to the bottom of the fixture as it will make it hard to attach). My only other recommendation would be to mark the area on the side you plan to attach last as it will be easier lining it up to finish the installation. I was worried that it would hug the ceiling too close or not close enough. I’m actually very happy with the look of it. My bathroom is long and narrow & my old fixture would only light up one side of the bathroom well, where as this one throws more light the full length of the bathroom. There are no color options, it is not dimmable and there is no motion detector. This is a very simple light. I can’t speak for its Lifespan as I’ve just put it up. As for functionality, I’d say this is perfect. Not too big, not too small. Just right.

**Q: is this light dimmable**
A: Thanks for your inquiry. This light is not dimmable.

**Q: is this too bright for a closet?  does it get hot?  any issues with the product?**
A: That would depend on your closet size, I have installed it in a kitchen to illuminate the sink on one side and the stove on the other. It is bright for this area and illuminates that area well. It is indeed bright. As to the heat it generates I have not checked that since installing it, primarily because it is in a larger area, certainly larger than most closets. You would certainly have a lot of light output for a closet.

**Q: Can this be mounted as a replacement for a standard round light fixture?**
A: Don't know what you mean by "standard round light fixture" but this is a ceiling fixture.  Any ceiling fixture should be mounted to a round ceiling electrical box (which is in the ceiling hole) to which this does mount.  Your fixture should also be mounted to the same so the answer is yes if that is what you mean by "standard round light fixture"

**Q: We’re using it in the shower. Any o problems?  The bright light does not bother us.**
A: Used in the kitchen, no problem from steam from cooking. Definitely an excellent replacement.

The light is nice and lit the hallway much nicer than my old fixture which burnt out those small global bulbs every month. There are a few things to care for when installing. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ keeps falling off

14 months ago, we bought and installed 5 of these in our kitchen, replacing ugly builder lights. They were not easy to mount, and we had problems with one of them repeatedly falling. We would come into the kitchen to find it hanging from its wires. Eventually, this was resolved but 2 days ago we discovered a different one hanging. This one had spontaneously broken a mounting bracket overnight! Nobody bumped it or touched it in any way. I just ordered 2 more since this one has to be replaced and I decided to keep a spare. The light itself is undamaged, but can't be mounted on the ceiling due to the bracket being toast! It is a shame since they are nice and bright and look good on the ceiling. The mounting brackets are badly engineered. August 2. I'm adding to this review and bumping it up to 5 stars since we installed the replacement for the broken one. The mounting system has been completely redesigned and now works just great. I'm glad we bought a spare, since I don't expect the original lights to last as long as the newer ones.
