Does the mouse click when placed inside the cases if light pressure is applied to the top?

Based on my testing (putting the switched on mouse in the container and sipping it closed and then applying light pressure), it does not. I could not hear a click sound and it did not have an effect in Excel (where I tested it).

Will this actually fit the new mx master 3? the image doesn't look like it would fit.

IT IS NOT FOR MX MASTER 3, you can even see in the pictures that the MX Master 3 doesn’t align properly with the cut out. I bought another case that says it’s actually for the MX Master 3 and it fits better and I don’t feel like it’s pressing down on the clicky parts anymore.

Does this fit the original preformance mx?

Not really. I have both. The Performance is a bit too long and pokes into the side of the zipper, and because it doesn't sit into the contours on the bottom of the case it's a bit too tall and the zipper has to stretch a lot to close. When do to get it to zip shut those padded bits at the top of the inside of the case click the mouse buttons due to the different design and put a lot of pressure on them. Personally I don't feel comfortable using this case with the Performance MX.

Is there space to store the receiver?

You mean the mini USB dongle? Yes, there is some room for that.
