I bought a cheap vacuum sealer from Lidl 4 or so years ago now and its been well used to be fair so I though it was time tfor an upgrade to something newer and more powerful, having used a number of Inkbird items both at work and home it has become a brand that I trust. This VS02 model with its 85kpa suction (compared to my old Silvercrest unit that only had 65kpa) really took my eye, I often vacuum seal Neapolitan pizzas once cooked and frozen, this help to keep them fresh longer, I really noticed the extra suction capability with this sealer and also that the seal strip its self was thicker than that on my cheaper old unit. The bag storage is a helpful space saving addition with the unit footprint only being a little taller over all so not taking up any additional counter space, the detachable two pin radio type cable means it sits tighter to the back of the work top when not in use and doesn’t look out of place with its brushed stainless cover, the integrated cutter also saves me getting the scissors out for quick straight cut when making new bags off the roll. Simple intuitive buttons with 3 covering the Vac and seal section for Dry, Moist or Liquid items (for different vacuum suction levels before sealing) then Pulse that I find useful holding the button down will vacuum until you let it go, Seal only - another one I use a lot if I’m adding a second seal band having moved the bag down, I also like that the unit does a little vacuum suction to pull its self-down for a good seal, then Canister / Cancel. I haven’t tried the canister option / attaching the hose to the top for sealing specific canisters as I don’t have one to use on it, the sweeping led light at the top is an adequate user interface that goes from the sweeping white when vacuuming to a solid red when sealing. I would have liked to see a removable tray in the vacuum area to catch any juices extracted from the bag when sealing to help keep it clean easier like on my older unit, but I can’t knock it down a whole star for this one small niggle. Overall, I am very impressed and happy with this purchase and it is much more pleasing to the eye sat on my work top.

Well made machine and very quiet, originally i purchased the Bonsenkitchen machine but arrived faulty and looked really cheap and it was cheap at £29, so paid the extra and bought this INKBIRD machine and i am very impressed, chunky sturdy machine and easy to use, only thing i don’t like is it has a thermal cut out and after about 15 bags the pump over heats and shuts down, wait 10 minutes and its back working again, if your sealing lots of food bags in one go its not the machine for you, if your separating a few trays of meat its well worth it and will do a good job.

I bought this to replace a different model which had a really high score. That one just didnt work for me, but this one is much easier to use, and has a much higher kPa vacuum rating, 85, as opposed to 55 for the previous one. This cost me an extra £30, but you get what you pay for. Vacuumed some steak and perfect results. Didnt have to mess about pressing a separate seal button, just one button, either dry or wet, does it all.

This is exceptionally good for the money and does the job very well. But….. the buttons are so sensitive you only have to hover over them and they set off the process of vacuuming or sealing. Also the actual process of using the item is quite fiddly. It’s easier if you use it sideways on a counter top and not let the bags hang down like you would think to use them. Also the roll of bags that comes with it is miniscule so buy more! They are not easily washed up and reused either. But not impossible. All in all it’s a good item.

After having a cheaper vacuum sealer as my entry point to souvide, it soon fell apart as little plastic hooks that held the bag snapped off and the unit became largely useless. So, I treated myself to an ink bird vacuum sealer.. What a lovely bit of kit! Vacuum is pretty quick, certainly no waiting around for long and the seal is twice the thickness of my previous unit. The bonus of it storing a roll so I can make my own bags was surprisingly useful too as my Christmas beef joint didn't fit in my existing bags so simply cut my own using this units built in cutter, will admit I had to swipe it twice to get a good cut but a non issue. I've now got all my proteins and veggies vacuum packed ready for Christmas day, and this didn't skip a beat.

Did not seem as powerful as I expected. May of just been a one off. My old cheaper machine was better. Refund was swift though .

Easy to use and very effective. We buy in bulk for the freezer and this is great for freezer packaging items.
