Diameters sizes, mister!** A: The face of the clock is 3 5/8 inches in diameter and the back is 4 inches in diameter. **Q: can you hang in it on wall** A: Dear Jill, you cannot hang it on the wall, per se., but you can screw it to the wall using red rawl plugs ( 6mm.) or mount it on a wooden base /plaque and then hangthe base on a wall nail locating on a hole drilled into the back of the wooden base. But you don't move the hands on the face of the clock. You pull the whole clockworks out, and then you can adjust the time using a small dial on the back. This is also how you replace the AA battery that runs the clock. I've had this clock for well over a year (mounted in my sailboat), and I've not yet had to replace the battery or re-set the time yet. This purchase was worth every penny … it's solid, quality brass. My only beef was that the mounting screws provided were not the correct style. But I did manage to find a small, quaint hardware store that stocked the correct size oval-head brass screws -- which set me back $0.75. Good luck! **Q: Is this an outdoor clock?** A: No not outside. Substantial and beautiful *by G***R on March 6, 2019* Solid brass clock, not brass plated, and is heavier than it looks, perhaps a couple pounds. Requires one AA battery, not included. The quartz mechanism appears similar to what you can buy in a hobby store if you need to replace it, but may this be higher-quality. The brass clock itself will last a very very long time. The clock is deeper than I expected at 2 1/4 inches, which means it will stand out from the wall a bit more than I expected, but it does give it a very substantial look and is worth it. The brass is polished to a nice finish . Three 1/8” holes for mounting on the wall. My unit did not come with screws. We will use it in our sailboat, mounted on a cherry wood plaque. The clock does make a very soft ticking sound, although at night, hanging on a sailboat wall, it may sound louder. This clock looks like it cost much more. ### ⭐ Not a marine grade product *by T***R on June 11, 2025* Does not keep time. No access to battery once mounted. Must unscrew from bulkhead to replace battery which seems to discharge very quickly. Brass began to tarnish and form splotches in less than a year. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Things missing *by L***E on December 8, 2020* The advertised "Mounting Hardwares & Brass Screws With Necessary Mount Included and Supplied" were not in the package.After the battery is installed and the clock is mounted, you will have to remove the three screws and dismount it again to replace the battery. Not a good design.
