Would this work if aimed at underarm?

This thermometer is not calibrated for the underarm, we would recommend the ear or forehead only.

Do you have to wait a certain amount of time between temperature checks for it to be accurate?

Hi! No you don't have to wait. If you are running into an issue, please reach out to us at frida.com/help :).

Can the measurement units be changed to Centigrades?

You can! Under the battery cover there is a switch to change the modes.

I read child mode is for 12 months and under only is that correct?

Hey - We recommend the child mode setting for children 12 months and under. It’s a modified algorithm to take into account a child’s thinner skin and smaller blood vessels when sensing the body’s infrared signal. If you have any other questions, please reach out to us at frida.com/help :)
