Good grip, fit a few different sized pencils. Nicely made too.

Works great for us
So far, so good! Either clipped to my tool belt or my shirt, it works great. Still has great tension. It's saved me a step if I'm writing measurements and marking cuts. I can drop my pencil and run instead of jamming it in my pocket and breaking it later or forgetting where I set it. I gave the other one to my coworker and he uses it all the time.

Very effective and useful
This item has been so effective in useful in my line of work. Very easy to attach to my belt, pants, and at times the pocket of my jacket. I use the regular size Sharpies with this item and I have no problems with the Sharpie nor does it slip out. The length is perfect and has been very durable. Very pleased!

This is the one to get
The clamshell design allows you to disassemble it to replace the cord when it wears or breaks. Just like all good tape measures that allow you to replace worn tape blades, this has a Phillips screw through the central axle you remove to open it. I use 50-lb braided line made for fishing line. It is much tougher than the original cord and lasts longer. Don't waste your money on the cheap all-plastic version of this because when they stop working they cannot be repaired. BRAVO to the maker for providing a user-serviceable item. It reduces the amount of waste that ends up in a landfill.

Super heavy duty
I bought these for my epoxy coated pens. I didn't factor in the pens having clicker tops, but figured oh well, I'll just remove the pen when I need to open and close it, umm, no, that pen is in there for the long haul. I'm a little envious of the commitment this holder has to the pen. Wondering if the pen holder has a human brother. Asking for a friend.

Easy fix to " Where's my pencil?!" problem
The reason I bought this was to keep track of my pencil. Why this particular one? Notice the KEY RING on the pen holder. This means I can easily replace the badge reel part of it, if it breaks. The string is pretty thick but relatively short, if I need a longer badge reel I'll just take the pencil holder part and transfer it to a new one. Dollar stores, craft stores, grocery stores, they carry some kind of retractable badge reel. Also, I use a regular pencil for my wood working (whaaat??) YES. I don't like the feel of carpenters pencil, too bulky and I like my tips sharp. So then I have to make the ends of my pencils thick to make it fit, enter the hot glue gun. Just put some on my pencil, let it dry and bam! I can now use a regular pencil with this holder right here.

Okay product for price
This product was off to a great start. It can fit many size markers and even a carpenter pencil. After about a week use, while retracting the product busted into pieces. Iguess that is okay since it comes with a pack of 2.

Great for a workshop scenario with projects on workbench or stools, however I need them to have a longer reach using on a site situation as a builder to quickly reach over items or overhead use
