DEWALT20V MAX Pruning Shears Garden Tool, Cordless, Bare Tool Only (DCPR320B)

Very much impressed with the quality of this pruner. It cuts up to 1 1/2 limbs like butter. I have 7 old crepe myrtles that line one side of my driveway. The new sprouts at the base have to be cut back periodically. Battery is more that adequate. Ive never run it out of power. I would say 1100 cuts per charge is pretty accurate. I run out of gas before it does. This is a great tool.

The Dewalt prunning shears are a game changer! I have used the heck out of this thing on lilacs, lower small random branches, bushes of all sorts. As a single, 67 year old woman, I needed something to make my life easier as a gardener. The battery operated pruning cutters are easy to use, fast cutting, and the battery lasts through my project of the day. I'll never go back to hand pruning shears again. Their all going to the free pile. I've talked many friends and my sister into buying this amazing tool. Worth every penny!

Very nice pruner! DeWalt quality throughout! I also ordered an off brand smaller one that comes with a 9 foot extension pole and that also uses DeWalt batteries. It works very well too. The DeWalt seems a bit more robust. As expected the other brand pole does not engage the DeWalt when attached. That’s fine. Having both tools provides all I’ll need for pruning without having to choose one over the other - and keeps me off my ladder!

Easy to use and does cut up to 1.5 inch limbs. If the blade is sharp. Great for chopping up branches into small segments to fit into Green Recycling Barrels. No more trying to stuff branches into the barrel and using loopers to cut them smaller. Seriously, you can quickly mince branches. You'll have a harder time moving the weight than filling the recycling Barrel. My 2ah battery will do a 1,000 or more cutsComes with a lot of warnings, but, always be safety conscious with this tool.

I own a lot of Dewalt tools from impact driver, circular, jig, and chainsaw to hedge and sidewalk edger. This tool is by far their best designed tool. It is more powerful than my manual loppers with half the effort. It has a small flashlight on the end similar to their Dewalt drill, it makes reaching into a dark hedge easier to find the exact branch you want to cut. Very thick rubber grip that feels more like a firearm grip than a drill grip. The grip is very very grippy. Use gloves. It is extremely powerful, could remove a finger without any effort, use with care and attention. You can cut through a 2” branch with multiple tries but most stuff 1” and thinner it goes through like butter. What used to take an hour with loppers only took 10 minutes with these. I’m more than happy with the performance.

This tool is amazingly powerful, clipping 1” thick shrub branches. What used to take hours takes maybe a half hour, and is so much easier than using lopers and hand clippers. I use two batteries (the small ones that come with dewalt drills), so when doing a large trimming job I can charge one while using the other. I thought I’d need the larger ones, but so far that hasn’t been necessary. The charges last a long time and make many cuts - probably hundreds - I haven’t counted.

Would have gotten a 5 star review except the trigger safety switch (hand grip area) is very difficult to keep armed.Great for repetitive use but bulky compared to manual pruners.

This trimmer makes trimming trees and shrubbery tremendously easier. One arm and hand for reaching the target, the other arm and hand for holding on to something solid for safety. I can reach into trees and shrubbery with one hand and in dense areas, and make the needed cuts. A pull of the trigger in the tight spot does the trick. Same for reaching high above. After using a chain saw, one can cut up large branches into small pieces for easy piece disposable. The trimmer can cut through branches up to two inches thick. Two, three, or four pulls of the trigger gets through the piece. There is no stress on the tool as it is engineered to drive the cutting blade to a stop without stressing the tool. Just release the trigger for multiple cutting steps on the cut. Battery life with a large capacity battery is hours and the tool never gets hot. Excellent design and engineering.
